To the average Joe, a bigger number also means it's a better product.

>8:5
>not 4:2.5

not 1.6

It's done for the same reason that your bag of cheetos cost $3.99 and not $4.00. People are simple minded and just see 16:10 > 16:9.

Lowest whole numbers or ratio to one on either side, any other ratio is retarded.

not 1.4:1

No, it's

>16:10 > 16:9

Glorious 21:9 ridiculousness

Not 2:1

mentalfloss.com/article/76144/why-no-one-wanted-aws-third-pound-burger

16:10 is just written that way to make it easier to compare to 16:9, the most common aspect ratio.

21:9 is actually 64:27, it's a simplification (off by about 1.5%) to make it easier to compare to 16:9. If you want to be autistic then insist on 64:27, not 7:3.

If 4:3 content was a new thing, it would be probably be written as 12:9 or 16:12.

God I thought you were talking about time here

>not π:r

Thanks user

>not 1.6:1

Huh, now it makes way more sense

>21:9 display, huh? nice, you can now fit more windows without reducing usability. so, what did you do with your extra 640 pixels of width?
>i've put anime girl in the corner and filled major part of display with empty divs of Jow Forums post boxes

i think problem might be you, not display. you're not supposed to use it in single-window mode

Its free real state
