Convoy S2+ for flashlight. Nichia is nicer than Cree, but either are fine. Higher CRI is better. You'll need an 18650 and a charger too. I don't recall the exact spelling, but Lito Kaalo or something makes nice cheap ones.

HDMI switch arrived, it's a cute small box, seems well-made. Main function works as expected, comes with an IR remote.

On top of that it also functions as a HDMI audio extractor into toslink and a 3.5 jack at the same time, and also removes HDCP. Pretty good deal for $20.

Actually, this was the cheapest leather I could find on AliExpress and eBay. I could've bought a full hide for less per cm3 but I only wanted a couple scraps to work on and see if I'm any good at leather working.

Got my Swing IE800s that I ordered in January. I like them a lot, they feel solid and the sound is good. Highs are crisp, lows are big and mellow and mids exist. Good purchase, very much worth 12 dollars.

Update: it isn't working quite as I hoped it would. If you turn the left (the discriminate) knob to the far left setting, it's supposed to find every type of metal. But with that it will beep for totally non-metallic soild too. If you turn it right, then you enter discriminate mode and you have to tune it to the type of metal you're looking for, which setting has the disadvantage that if you're looking for silver, you won't find steel/iron, even if the thing in the ground would interest you. Overall it's not too bad, found a few smaller nails, a button sized metal disc and a car tire valve cap.
