It doesn't matter if you don't have a Jewgle or Jewbook account. They still maintain shadow profiles that can link to an identity at some point in the future so it's always good to take the necessary steps to protect your privacy as much as possible. Here are some off the top of my head. If you have other suggestions, include them here.
1. Browsing Patterns: Like me, if most of what you do on the internet is browsing the web without posting anything, Tor+VPN is a useful tool. This has two advantages. One, the VPN provider does not know who you are because you connect to over Tor, and the end websites don't know your identity or your IP.
2. Anonymous Payments: To buy a VPN, using a cryptocurrency is the best way to pay for it so they can't link your financial information with the VPN. There are a lot of shitcoins on the internet so pick one that you can mine yourself and convert it to a currency that the VPN provider accepts. The coins that you mine yourself are truely anonymous and you don't need to do a lot of it in order to get 10-20 bucks for the VPN, even if that means spending a lot more than that on electricity bills.
3. Firefox Addon: Containers - This lets you confine websites to a "container" so that different tabs with the same botnet cannot link against each other easily. They can still correlate that because the IP is the same but VPN+Tor can take care of this issue.
4. DNS Privacy: Tor+DNS
5. Custom ROM: Rather than using the vanilla version of your preferred Custom ROM, it is better to download the source code, grep -r any hostnames or IP addresses and replace them with 127.0.0.1 so that there are no (or minimal) connections to the botnet. This does not guarantee privacy from botnets but it goes a long way.
1. Tor is the best way to get caught doing stupid shit online, was compromised by PRISM in 2014, and cracked down to the point of destruction by 2015.
2. Cryptos are a great way to lose all of your money and have done nothing but crash over and over from Jan this year.
3. Firefox is a botnet that by default tracks most user data, even privacy oriented versions are botnet, and track usage in many ways.
4. DNSCrypt is a better solution, once again, tor is PRISM, and basically a notifier to your ISP you are up to no good.
5. Most custom roms will not help you if you have google play services installed, try MicroG repo in fdroid for a replacement, along with the yalp store, and use of as much FOSS as you can. But this won't stop ISP tracking on your phone, only a paid VPN service that does not do data logs and does not care about p2p by design will help you with that, also a chick phone because all US arm hardware is part of spying programs.

>1. Wrong. Also, nobody said anything about doing anything illegal over Tor. You're an idiot.
>2. This isn't an investment thread. It's about mining a small amount to pay for a VPN. Learn to read.
>3. It is still the best option compared to other browsers. The Tor browser is based on Firefox and has enhanced anti-fingerprinting techniques built in.
>4. DNSCrypt only protects you from the ISP. Not the DNS provider itself. Using it with Tor is better.
>5. No sane person uses Google services on their phone. You're an idiot.
>I get behind a vpn that can't even post to Jow Forums to talk about the game with my friends >t-this isn't Jow Forums just please buy more cryptos so the price goes up again :( >muh outdated version of firefox is the best solution, don't worry about those annoying security holes, they don't matter because m-muh anti-fingerprinting >no sane person uses the number one most used android app

>Willingly connecting to a surveillance network
Oh goyim
Aiden Rogers
>"does not log information" They are not obligated to tell the truth.
>buy with cash There are CCTV cameras installed everywhere.
>outdated version The fewer the people who use the same version as you, the more fingerprintable you are. Spoofing your user agent makes you stand out.
>most used Most people are morons.
Dylan Gutierrez
there are 2% of non FBI / NSA / HS / CIA nodes
Cameron Peterson
>I get behind a vpn that can't even post to Jow Forums to talk about the game with my friends Get a different VPN then. Idiot.

Do you not understand that greentext means you are quoting...?
Ian Davis
They still need to do time-correlation to determine who you are. If you aren't anyone of interest, they don't have any incentive to put all their resources to track you.

I'll do what I want. Kill yourself.
Aaron Collins
>get caught
This thread is about maintaining your privacy from Google, Facebook et all. Noone said anything about getting away with crime.

>VPN service that does not log information and can't be strongarmed into ratting you out to the NSA
A beautiful fantasy

>Firefox Addon: Containers >addon you mean that new shit thats included nao? get with the times grandpa
>127.0.0.1 0.0.0.0

1. Any service is legally obligated to provide a valid and legal privacy policy.
2. nope, there are still thousands of businesses without one where I live at least.
3. I spoof my user agent to say I am using firefox ESR on linux.
4. can't argue with that, but there are certain applications that require at least a spoofed play service that are very useful.
depends on country the company is based in. Personally only use russian based vpn services.
Michael Miller
Privacy literally means keeping everything you do a secret.
Mason Torres
I hope you're using NoScript. Quirks in the JS Engine can reveal the true user agent and make you more fingerprintable.
Asher Wilson
So just use a portable router? Doing anything else will expose your device
Hunter Cook
Interesting thread, keep it up.

You don't need more than a browser on a smartphone and a VPN client to log in to an Android Emulator at home.
Thomas Ross
>Using apps that are designed to compromise privacy >Using workarounds to use said apps
what is the use of all this...at the end of the day, I'm still browsing from my neighbours wifi
Kevin Hughes
Or having Internet is not a good privacy practice

I only use tor for porn, should I be concerned?
Luke Roberts
How? That would be irritatingly slow.
That said, everyone uses porn. Your habits are unlikely to cause you strife. And it's likely to be lost in the sea of data itself.

>Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt.
>You should use a phone that doesn't exist yet. O-okay...
Evan Hill
>silence is just cuckery of communication
Lucas Evans
>You should use a phone that doesn't exist yet Use Nokia 105
Adrian Carter
Your alternative to an open source phone is... a proprietary phone?
Oliver Green
If you're using Tor only for deviant behavior, you're doing it wrong.

The hardest part of privacy is unironically Jow Forums.
I have a VPN account, but I have to turn it off any time I post here. Because I can't hit "exclude Jow Forums from VPN" I simply do everything in clear.
You could buy a Jow Forums pass but that only hands more details over.
Xavier Price
Yeah, Jow Forums shits me to tears in that regard, and those websites that do actually respect privacy are far less popular (read: dead), at least for the topics I'm interested in discussing.
Hello, i'm a pleb, but i feel like i might be target of political persecution soon. I mostly use my phone for navigating the web, i have a Samsung S8. I want to feel secure, but i use all the normie stuff like google, jewbook, instagram, etc. How do i even begin?
>Hurrr durrrrrr I said "jew" hurr durrr hurdey durdey hurrrr durrr
Jacob Hughes
I'd imagine everyone in this board already does that.
Josiah Kelly
That logs me out of my gmail every time, so I avoid doing that.

3. No one who is concerned with privacy and somewhat intelligent uses defaults on Firefox. Stop spreading FUD that Firefox can't be configured for privacy.
