Yo. Im switching from Electronic Engineering to Computer Science.
My classes start in september.
Anyone know any good website/youtuber to learn Haskell?

Yeah, I have Haskell classes in the first semester.

you poor soul

learnyouahaskell.com

This. Plus some other resource on functional programming in general

Real world Haskell is pretty good. But usually you learn an easier functional language first and then move to Haskell. And then you go back to an useful language

Can you explain to me why you switched between the two?

I switched because I didnt felt like working with hardware and circuits for the rest of my life.
I only enjoyed the few classes of code I had.
Also, programming seems more employable, which also helped my decision to change.

Get ready to have the "fun" removed from "functions"

First thing you need to get used to in CS is that there are essentially no good youtube videos to learn basics. The only good programming resources on youtube are recordings of talks and presentations from conferences.

This is all you need.

why is haskell being taught first? Weird choice.

I can see English was another language you didn't consider useful

Haskell Programming from First Principles is the best book on it IMO. Learn You a Haskell is a little outdated. And don't get trapped in the exponentially growing number of Monad tutorials out there. And I couldn't decide between EE and CS so I just did CE and it's basically exactly where I wanted to be.

Sounds even worse than learning from a book

this.
better switch to gender studies

No. Love is all you need.

search for "Haskell programming from first principles" on libgen.io and read that

alternatively:

don't waste your time on endless online burrito tutorials and just focus on the materials above. Thank me later.
