Is this finally a successor to 2560x1600?

Is this finally a successor to 2560x1600?

>not 16:10
no

>Not 4:3 4096x3072.
No.

>16:10

This flairs my autism. It should be 8:5.

>rejected 4K panel
>recut
>literally garbage

The term "8:5" too heavily associated with EGA and 256 colour VGA,

it's also pretty strongly associated with retarded pedantic autistic people who pray that someone will think they're clever for reducing it.

like the autistic version of a dad joke

When we gonna have monitor resolution so dense, that we'll be able to use electronic microscope to view atoms in matter displayed by monitor?

>implying dad jokes aren't already autistic

I hate ultrawides desu

>38" widescreen
>only 2560 wide

holy shit why

No, that'd be WQUXGA

>flairs
You fail at both humor and autism.

2 monitors >>> 1 ultrawide

Ultrawides are shit and expensive. I can get 2 1440p dell ultrasharps for that money.

I don't understand the wide meme

It's 3840x1600. Basically the ultrawide version of 2560x1600.

> cropped UHD

you can buy a high quality 43" IPS UHD for under $600, or chop off 560 pixel rows and pay $300 more?
ultrawide is literally retard bait.

>60 Hz
is this even legal?

>implying you can tell the difference

How do you guys watch movies on this shit?

I would genuinely prefer OP's screen over a 43" UHD screen.

At 43" you end up tilting your head all the time, which is extremely annoying and puts a big strain on your neck.

without black bars you mean?

Personally I'm not a basement dweller so I watch them on my 55inch TV

How much tons of pressure is that table on right now.

OP posted a 75Hz monitor

It's 16:10 2560x1600 plus 5:4 portrait 1280x1600...

>curved
This is disgusting. CRTs struggled for proper geometry across the entire screen, now people are buying monitors which are intentionally warped. It's retarded.

Have you seen these in person? They're so large it isn't noticeable and is actually more pleasurable. Think of it like how you would normally angle two monitors side by side vs leaving them straight. For 16:9 and smaller monitors it doesn't make much sense but those usually have less curvature.

bout tree fiddy

>bent, half-height shit

Just get a proper large 4k monitor instead of that meme garbage.

user baka dumbass, it's much easier for me to move my head side to side than it is to move up and way down. The height of the U3818DW is about the maximum usable monitor height for a desk, meaning your meme 4k monitor will either be uncomfortably tall or have scaling issues. :^)

I've been using a 4k 43" for like a year now at an arm's length away, no scaling. It's wonderful and super versatile. But do enjoy your ultra-shite and its horrendous vertical resolution.

I haven't purchased anything yet, so I cannot enjoy or dis-enjoy it. Right now I have two 22" 1680x1050.

When dealing with areas you use the squares

Like 10 years ago man
Electron microscopes have had digital cameras that throw up the image on a screen for a long time
FEI titan krios has single atom resolution and no phosphor screen, only a digital display

Looks like a great monitor but I prefer a 27" in the middle with a 24" on both sides to an ultra wide.

If going for 38" 3840x1600 for $900+

I'd rather stick with my 43" 3840x2160 for $570.
