Used DDG only for like 5 years now. Always been happy with it. Click on the sponsored links whenever it's a site I would have clicked anyway.

The founder of DuckDuckGo use to run Names Database, which gives you peoples email addresses, using it required you either paid or gave other people's email address' to it feeding it. DuckDuckGo claimed to not use tracking cookies, but a 3rd party did.
