Music Players

So... How does your music player looks, user?

Foobar2000

I used that skin for an embarrassingly long time. Now I just use musicbee

what motivated you to switch? as of now i've got a bunch of playlists put together and have gotten used to fb2k's idiosyncrasies but i'm wondering if musicbee has any compelling features that would make the switch worth it

I held onto Winamp for the longest time. Switched to Musicbee. Now I'm using Clementine since it works on both Linux and Windows.

default ncmpcpp

Still using winamp, does all I need so no need to change

Attached: winamp.png (354x50, 9K)

Not really. I just got sick of f2k and the interface, wanted something that had an out of the box nice interface and some o f2ks options. Youre probably good to stick with what you got.

>tidal or youtube

makes sense, also what i kinda figured, both have been around for a while so they've both kinda got all the features they need

I feel like music players are kinda going the way of the dinosaur. Used to be a big fan of Foobar/Winamp back in the day, but my web browser has started taking up a lot of the functionality of extraneous desktop applications including music player.

sauce?

Most underrated player, IMO. One of my favorite features is album shuffle, adjustable with parameters like "Prioritize albums I rated highly but haven't played in the last 6 months."

holy soy bugman

I kinda miss the days when I had a shitload of music on my HDD neatly arranged into a well though folder structure and Foobar2000 configured so that it was easy to navigate. It really seemed like a digital record collection whereas Spotify and similar services are just vast oceans of flavour-of-the-month background noise.

who is this cutie?

clementine. not the prettiest, but at least it works... on Xorg (crashes on Wayland), and is simple to use.

deadbeef looks great but keeps crashing, so it's of no use to me.

Same here. A little dull, but it works. I don't spend a lot of time looking at it anyhow.

Musicolet on my phone. Not the prettiest thing to look at, either, but it gets the job done.

I'm looking for a phone app that's even more plain, though. I'm planning on buying a separate used Android phone solely for playing music in my car. I'd like something without album art (or at least where it doesn't take up half the screen), that has large font for title, etc. and large buttons. Any suggestions?

This, and it works on Wine too.

Are you me? Blackplayer pitches a fit with .WAVs and for some reason a ton of my music is in that format. converting it all to something else has been unexpectedly annoying

I loved groove on my Lumia 950, but its implementation is horrid on Android. Only playing cloud files? what shit is that
