KDE is good, they said

KDE is good, they said
>three fucking distros: Manjaro, Fedora, Neon
>in all of them, plasmashell leaks RAM like hell
KDE was a mistake

>using a DE that's not XFCE

You would think a memory leak would be their top priority

>using abandonware

nice gnome skin retard.

tbqh it seems like a Qt bug, but all the "fixes" I found did fuck all to stop the bleeding

>plasmashell
>is GNOME with a skin
KTards are getting worse every day

fuck off feet

>thread about KDE
>KTards can't stop mentioning GNOME
you are all so pathetic

GNOME is even worse. What's so hard about
>for every malloc/new you must delete/free
?

Post proof

Why are you posting an unreleased version of Plasma?

La concha de tu madre boludo.

167K is not even close to a memory leak. You are clearly retarded.

my dude okular is using 4GB

we are talking about plasma shell here retard.

>moving goalposts
Okular is not plasmashell

>plasmashell
>116MB
thanks KDE

why was this deleted?
are mods gnome fags too?

LXDE has never let me down, but I want to try more stuff.

>XFCE felt like a bloated LXDE
>KDE was pretty, cool MacOS Skins
>GNOME made me lose IQ
>Cinnamon seems alright, just too much

How is MATE?
How is i3?
Why is XFCE preferred over LXDE?

> believing a mature project with work still being made is abandonware

Because for the most part LXDE cannot be tweaked and XFCE has just enough features out of the box, rather than being all kinds of bloated.

Have to use kde on my laptop because xfce won't do a 4k 17" screen

Fuck off, gnome shills.

xfce is better than lxde due to customization, but how about mate vs xfce?

Retrasado de mierda.

>Manjaro, Neon
I didn't recommend it. I've recommended only opensuse, since it was stable there, unlike Neon/Kubuntu.
And plasma has no memory leaks here, even fucking systemd has no leaks of memory, even with uptimes up to 1 week. 400 megs in total, 130 for plasma, 30 for kwin, 30 megs for kernel and essential, 200 megs for poettering rubbish.
Sure, it is not an alpine with XFCE that uses only 200 megs, but it is fast and you can enlarge swap and change swappines to 60 (default value on suse), so all poettering rubbish is stored in swap after some time/on demand.

Also tumbleweed comes with 10/10 wallpaper, with plan of rest rooms on it.

wat

Dis.

why you have compositing off?

gets in the way of jerking off of course

will anything ever come close to this masterpiece?

Dunno, it has no toilets here.

When will DE babies finally understand that having a nice keyboard driven WM is the superior way of using UNIX-like systems. Stop trying to make your OS look and behave like Windows copycat.

Attached: dwm-20100318.png (1280x801, 189K)

KDE has more keybind options than your WM has features.

Gnu is not unix.

Enormous codebases.

>Stop trying to make your OS look and behave like Windows copycat
hmmm

Attached: 1523825826596.png (1280x2556, 299K)

Freetype is cool

you can disables borders and KDE has full tiling support with keybinds for literally anything you can think of.
fuck off you suckless faggots

because everyone hates you, dumb ass, shills.

KDE may behave well in opensuse, but everything else therein is fucking garbage (Yast? Zypper? fuck no. Been there, done that.)

Works for me. Unlike anything debian-based I had zero issues with package manager, and unlike arch I had zero xorg configs fuckups.
And you can remove Yast. And you can get yum there... So yeah.

I suspect the open source drivers are also part of the problem. If even openSUSE starts bleeding RAM I'm going to confirm that.

been using KDE on debian testing as my main OS/DE for 4 months now without a single issue

Well shit, forcing the software render stops the bleeding. Fucking AMD.

that stops being trivial when you start passing pointers all around. of course its a bad programming practice, but time constraints will always be there, and once you find a bug that was caused by a 3-month old commit, it will be hell to fix.

Write a better shell.

AyyMD is to blame. See

Have you tried setting a lower memory usage profile? I haven't seen many documents that almost span 10k pages, but that might alleviate it.

Attached: okular_memory_conf.png (1248x681, 229K)

Unironically install gentoo instead of that unstable garbage.

Attached: file.png (802x686, 129K)

What's your uptime?

Why is XFCE preferred over LXDE?
Because you might as well just use openbox and ditch lxde altogether at that point. XFCE only uses a little more resources and is much more flexible. i3 is good and I use it but it has its downsides. Its good for working with text, but not so great when you are working with graphical applications.
