This thread is about the appreciation of horology, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that are required to make a fine watch, clock, or other timepiece.
I'm not op, but you must realise the tudor fag and the guy who forces the casio gang are the same person.
Tyler King
d-d-dont tell me tats a pussy trap
Adrian Edwards
I just like to use that or this (pic) as the OP. A normal stock image of the aq230 wouldn't do. Surprisingly, there are not many glamour shots of Casios kek.
So you're the casio autist, that's sooooo much better.
Leo Howard
then use other photos bro or stop making new threads every day and let someone else do it, if you can't be bothered to find a new photo of any watch you like then IMO you should not be making new threads. I am not even bitching about you spaming that specific casio, i don't care about that. But using shit/same OP pics every day makes /wt/ look bad in general on Jow Forums, you could at least be a bro and not to that to us
I really liked it when the op used watches pictures from anonymous in this general rather than stock photos from the internet. It gave it a nice touch to see the general with different watches from anons here. Like a month ago everyone started receiving their lange catalogs, it was a missed opportunity not to use these for op images as well.
Logan Reyes
>makes /wt/ look bad in general on Jow Forums The contents of this thread already do that.
Whats the overall opinion on Steinhart. Pic related looks very nice and I'm in search for a dive in that price range. Are there recommended ones for durability and accuracy? No windyknob solar pls.
Casio male, tudor male, and the guy spamming gf nubile and some r9k girl images are all the same guy. Solar male is some other alcoholic guy that stopped his shit for a while.
Alexander Diaz
>Whats the overall opinion on Steinhart. Derivative designs, mediocre external finishing and zero QC. Literally make sure you get it pressure tested.
Brandon Taylor
i have not seen very many solar seiko OPs, some but not like the same image every 2 days for 3 weeks like the tudor and casio guy are doing
Caleb Sanders
I very much like the look of that specific steinhart
with an ETA for the money they are asking I am sure it's just fine, I especially like the lugs on the strap you posted
Aiden Harris
How new are you not the realize that the nubile gf guy is windyknob?
Joshua Sanchez
solar male and nubile gf guy are the same guy, tudor guy and casio guys are different guys
Decent watches actually but they are very derivative. Don't buy more than one and don't overpay because it's just supposed to be a beater watch until your Rolex comes in.
Ethan Rodriguez
Shut up and post interesting vintage quartz pieces.
I also read good things about this specific watch I posted on WUS. People reported good accuracy and I like the idea of titanium and the doomed sapphire crystal.
I'm looking for a diver like that for a long time now, I thought about a samurai it would fit on my wrist but I'm not so keen on the movement and the price to be honest. That's why I'm asking here for recommendations. I really can't make my mind up I would love to get pelagos but that's out of reach for now and I'm not getting a fucking replica.
It has a high accuracy quartz movement. That about all I can see about it. SBCM023
Carter Rodriguez
The reference # is in the filename. Do your own damn research.
Jaxson Cook
>SBCM023 can't find one for sale on ebay, dang
Christopher Gomez
nice knob position. why didn't anybody think of this before
Dylan Barnes
I'm sure lots of people here would disagree with me, but to me any watch priced fairly for its level of materials and workmanship is not a shitter.
Asher Hall
I also agree.
Levi Rodriguez
What is your comprehensive definition of a "shitter"?
Thomas Rivera
overpriced fashion brands
Logan Nelson
I disagree, Fossil for instance has many watches that are not unfairly priced but they are all shitters
Blake Watson
Is that a stump or is your hand just really fat?
Seiko sarbs
Christian Williams
I will admit that a select few look half decent externally at least.
Levi Smith
wow I obviously didn't know that and get that image from a web page with information about the watch. I was asking if anyone knows anything about it here hoping to find something new or a lead to buying one. Or if it's worth buying one. Or if anyone knows if it will be possible to get it serviced. You know info that wasn't instantly available from a Google search and is a bit harder to find. You might not be one but there are people here with knowledge about this sort of thing which is why I asked. Yeah I found one on buyee. And one somewhere else but forgot to bookmark it.
Daniel Ortiz
what's the SARB03x equivalent now that they've been discontinued pretty ridiculous how the rest of seiko's line is >40mm
Gabriel Hall
Tudor male here.
Can confirm I am my own shiposter and not Casio guy.
Crown currently out as I splashed my watch by accident and not taking any chances with quality Chinese craftsmanship, letting it sit for a while with the crown pointed down and open.
Also someone here may have done researxh on one of these before and it would save me time.
Brandon Jackson
>Yeah I found one on buyee. And one somewhere else but forgot to bookmark it. is it 42mm? what is the approximate price?
and why is it so fuckhard to find one for sale
Connor Edwards
Replica Tudor Black Bay.
Luis Roberts
>SBCM023 Ah crap. It's 39mm. I am shrek and that is way too small for me, I was hoping it would at least be 42mm. I would give up my solar obsession if i could find a quartz perpetual calendar skx like watch. The perpetual calendar is one of the main reasons I like my SSG001s so much
Owen Thompson
It seems smaller and better looking than an SKX imo
It doesn't have a day so it would look weird if the dial doesn't also fit. I have seen 3 different sizes for it, 37mm 39mm and 40mm. The 37mm person said that the larger sizes include the crown.
Isaac Sanchez
I can't believe I'm saying this, but doesn't Hubolt make some gigantic watches? I have no idea if they make a single tasteful one, though.
Hunter Bennett
G757GANG report in
Jonathan Ramirez
They are all unfairly priced because they are all $5 chinkshitters.
Jace Nelson
I also just thought of this, you'd probably be able to pull off one of those vintage pocket to wristwatch conversions without it looking hilarious.
Lucas Gomez
I think the fusion classic is alright. Would get a lot of other watches over it but I can appreciate it.
Cameron James
Looks good to me.
Noah Lewis
Its very difficult to find them without a (cow) leather lining though which is irritating, since I want it to be waterproof.
I don't think stingray leather is waterproof. Maybe more resistant than other species but would still not swim with it.
Carter Robinson
The 7548 is the quartz SKX, and they are comparable in quality and finishing as today's Sumos, much nicer than today's assembly line malay SKXs. This is what you should get. The SBCM is smaller and is finished about as well as any other early 2000s Seiko 5 or similarly prices quartz, I wouldn't buy a used one these days over 200.
The blue dial variant gets that vintage look more spot on to be honest familia.
Aiden Gonzalez
yes, there are an abundance of sub 1k non-shitters out there. especially in the vintage market, you can get old good omegas, longines, heuers, hamiltons, etc for that price.
Josiah Morris
What would be a god tier 3 watch Casio collection?
