i got one this weekend, saved it from the trash can. also an amd athlon of some sorts, not sure yet. both free. that's a lot of performance per zero dollars.

best free pc i've gotten so far is an ivy bridge i5.

AM1 builds were cheap AF, even the 4-core CPUs. used DDR3 RAM is really cheap.

AMD was king during those days. Now with Ryzen, it feels as if those AMD glory days are back.

I assume firefox 57 makes a HUGE difference if you can run it. Even pentium dual cores can be snappy without having to disable js and such.

AMD was far better with their Athlon 64 x2s; Intel initially tried to compete with HT Pentium 4s and Pentium Ds, but it wasn't until the introduction of the Core 2 in 2006 did AMD slowly get BTFOd

X2 seems better than FX due to lower power consumption, performance must be similar even if FX is a bit faster.
