I don't apologize for Vega. I just think I got a good deal on my 56. Especially after tweaking it up. At the time I would have had to spend at least £100 more on a GTX 1080. As it stands I get close to the 1080 in performance (sometimes better in certain games) with not much more power usage (currently running 1480Mhz @ 820mV)

See this is the kind of fanboy he was referring to. All hate should be aimed squarely at fanboys. I run my Vega 56 on an Intel platform. It performs perfectly well for my needs. I am not chasing benchmarks. I look at some reviews. I see how happy Amazon customers are. I try to make informed choices based on cost to performance ratio. I simply could not afford a GTX 1080 at the time. The Vega 56 was the next best thing and I knew I could squeeze enough out of it to beat a GTX 1070 in a lot of instances.
Anyhow I should not need to justify my purchasing decisions on the likes of you.

It performs the same or better than the competitor at the same price point, if you don't include the extreme price gouging that happened due to mining. It's a competitive product, both in performance AND price.

I got it for £380 delivered brand new on day 1. Forget all the price hikes afterwards. At its initial price it's good value. The trouble is every benchmark being done since (including that unfair Vega 64 vs 1080 Ti one) is based on cost NOW rather than what it should have been.
