Point? It's the macrohard, what do you expect?

This happens with every Windows just 10 is the worst at it, do a disk cleanup.

literal poorfag storage levels

Let me guess: you fell for the 16GB or RAM meme?

Congrats, you now have a 16GB hibernate file.

Go into storage under settings select c: and remove previous installation under system reserved

Delete the system32. It's were they save all the new stuff. Your real system32 is hidden on another path.

Delet the windows.old file in your C: drive.

Turn off delivery optimization and then delete the file with windirstat

Windows.old you retard

Dunno
Don't have that problem on my windows 7 :^)

Wouldn't say that, not these days. I've looked at quite a few laptops this week and 128 GB or 256 GB SSDs are pretty standard, specially if it's NVME. My laptop CPU is an older generation i7 which is dual-core - not quad-core as you'd think a i7 would be. So that's a reason to upgrade. But I do have a good fHD IPS screen, 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSD storage. Even high priced laptops have 8 GB RAM and garbage TN panels. It really is quite sad.

This. I don't even have a Windows computer and even I know that gigabytes of stuff is left over when you "upgrade". The wintendo disk cleaner thingy will remove that for you, wouldn't be shocked if it will shave away 10-15 GB. There's also likely a ton of pre-installed bloatware on that laptop, I'm guessing you can recover 5 GB or so by uninstalling garbage.

Gentoo doesn't have this problem.

nuMetro is better than aero

Delete C

yeah format c and get the whole 115

install gentoo

# du -hs /var/portage/
8.9G /var/portage/
# du -hs /usr/portage/
13G /usr/portage/

imagine needing ten thousand drivers built in, then you need 10 different versions of each dll file to work with shitty corporate software.

Windows is built for the big boys who need their dot matrix cheque printer to work in their dos program the same way in 2018 as 1998.

>/var/portage
I'm assuming you mean /var/tmp/portage, which should be empty if you are not in an active compilation, you can just delete it if it isn't and portage isn't running currently
>/usr/portage
deleting files in /usr/portage/distfiles should help reduce storage usage

Delete (or find out how to delete) the Windows.old folder. That's what was causing problems for me.

install gentoo

how new are you faggots

disk cleanup in admin mode

in cmd admin mode

powercfg /h off

And Linux literally is running the same window system 40 years ago

Debian doesn't have this problem

You're obviously too stupid to use Windows 10. Go back to Gentoo.

# du -hs /var/tmp/portage/
14G /var/tmp/portage/
For some reason I have them separate. I guess I'll have to look into that.

Prolly this

Honestly, I don't understand how they can even sell those 32gb laptops, when they clearly don't even have enough space for those update files.

It literally uses 30GB. Wtf are you on about?

>180gb drive
>literally a single drive.
oh user-kun.

>Remove hibernate file
>Remove old windows installation
Done

To be fair, a lot of new "i7" processors in laptops are just dualcores with a higher max clock than the i5 models - and maybe a beefier graphics adapter.

most normalfags dont store data, everything in da cloud yo

i3/i5/i7 is more of a branding thing really, but Intel can't just label them poorfag/average/premium.
At least the 15 W i7s in laptops are quads now.

>having less than 2 TB MINIMUM
>why do bad things happen to mee!!!1!!1!

doesn't make updates any less funky, though

>Laptop
>Windows

just neck yourself

>iblying linux is a better choice
you realize every linux distro is shit at battery management

how are dumb poorfags expected to trouble shoot this? no wonder they prefer to pay ten times the price for apple

>doesnt delete the previous windows install via the disk cleanup

calls out microsoft for his stupidity

>what is disk cleanup

>the vergin teddy bear vs the Chad bone breaker bear hug

this

>>Remove old windows installation
you cant remove it manually, even if it using a third party, it wouldn't remove all installation.

fuck it.

Even notebook i5's like the i5-8250U are quad-cores now.

By old windows installation I mean the windows.old folder you can clean up with diskcleanup

i don't have mercy on you

uhh, fanboy
