>>>A common practice is to pirate Windows for free. This is illegal and immoral. Lots of engineers and designers and others spend many thousands of hours making and refining the software, and if you're going to use it, then you should compensate them for their work. Would you do your job for free?
>Pirate Brainwashing terms that should due already.
Juan Moore

>Pay for Windows 10 >get buttfucked by a spy botnet >Pirate Windows 10 LTSB >don't get buttfucked by a botnet (still need to edit some settings)
I think the logical choice is clear.
John Ortiz
thing is they already got paid the money I give for the software goes to people who didn't work on it at all.
Adrian Robinson
It beats getting viruses pre installed.

>pirate >pirated >pirate >Pirate I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you're referring to as piracy, is in fact, unauthorized copying, or as I've recently taken to calling it, unauthorized sharing. Piracy is not the act of obtaining an unauthorized copy of a copyrighted work, but rather robbery or criminal violence at sea.
Many computer users make unauthorized copies every day, without realizing it. Through a peculiar turn of events, the act which is widely performed today is often called piracy, and many of the people who do it are not aware that it is basically copying, and not stealing.
There really is a piracy, and some people are doing it, but it is just robbery at sea. Piracy is an act of theft: an action at sea in which goods are forcefully transferred from one ship to another. Piracy is important to be aware of, but unrelated to unauthorized copying; it can only function at sea. Piracy is normally not used in combination with unauthorized copying: the two acts are basically separate. All the so-called piracy is really unauthorized copying.
This right here. >not physically stealing OS disks and games from a store step up kiddos
Luke Gray
Saved.

its like 2 fucking dollars on ebay
Michael Watson
>anyone thinking piracy harms Microsoft in any way
That's literally the opposite of true. Microsoft actually benefits from it. It being the dominant OS means software needs to be developed for it. That includes professional software. Professional software existing means businesses have to pay for licenses and support. It becomes industry standard.
It's the same exact thing with Adobe and their software suite. The more people using their software, the better due to professional applications and standards; and that's where the money is.
If Microsoft could get away with charging nothing for their OS they probably would. They already charge next to nothing for bulk licensing to manufacturers.
Liam Richardson
I'd love to compensate the work of the engineers, programmers, etc. But face it, most of the funds is going to the big wigs profiting off the labour of the "employees".
Communist revolution, when?
Brody Cooper
this
a company like microsoft could make their software difficult to use without paying, but choose not to
>(((stallman))) >betraying kikes Just a falseflagging (((bolshevik)))
Nathan Clark
imagine paying 219.99 bong dinars and still being spied, and losing the ownership of your own hardware. fucking cucks, may allah have mercy.
Nolan Howard
Stallman is a Jew though.
Jaxon James
>pirate Home versions come with most machines Paying 200 dollariedoos for pro upgrade is retard bait for people who don't shop around. Also why is bitlocker a pro feature when even burner Androids have encryption by default now
This guy pretty much uses pilpul the whole time right.
Alexander Price
It's enough that you get spied on in exchange for a free service, but actually PAYING to get spied on? No wonder you Malaysians have someone like Najib in power
Gavin Cox

Why proactively share that shit?
Listen to your dentist: FLOSS every day!
Elijah White
They already admitted theyd rather people pirate Windows thsn run other OSes

I bought my Win10 Pro and I like it. I've been used non-activated Win10 Pro for at least a year prior to that. MS is openly aware common folk doesn't really buy Windows - and MS openly doesn't bother the common folk. WinXP required you to either buy or crack it, but Win7 and after the only problem you get from not actually owning Windows is some limitations to the desktop ricing. Nowadays there's really no reason for cracking Windows.
Parker Scott
Sorry, my mistake. That doesn't change the fact that you're defending paying for an OS in return for getting spied on. A decade ago people will have called Windows 10 what it is: Spyware. Unfortunately, people have slowly been conditioned to accept this as the new normal.
Jason Wilson
Hey anons, I recently got a new to me pc... and the HDD was noisy as shit so i swapped it for a SSD. I used one of those clone drive utilities, and things seemed good, so i took that loud HDD out and everything was working. Now, 3 days later, I'm getting the "activate windows" watermark and it won't let me activate or show me my serial #. I tried booting the old HDD but no dice, i think perhaps its finally cooked. What should i do? Not really willing to spend 200$ on this shit, but the watermark is annoying.
Andrew Adams
Contact the seller and/or MS support. If you bought your PC officially, there should be a way of retrieving your copy of Windows. It is linked to hardware, but not to the storage. You are supposed to be able to change your drives without losing the OS.
Oliver Gutierrez
They have a point. However it should still be free as in libre.
Brandon Hill
well it was second hand but the guy knows less about computers than i do. i asked a computer store and they said i should try and load up the old HDD and can then get the serial from it somehow but the fuckin thing won't boot anymore >.>
Amusingly enough, you aren't allowed to turn off the suggestions if your Win10 isn't activated.
Thomas Long
>shell out cash for windows license, half the average salary in my country >power-outage during defrag >checkdisk says the disk is fine but there are a couple registry key warnings in EV >windows gets flagged as fake >restore >try to go to their site to reactivate >doesn't work in firefox (says cookies are disable - they aren't) >doesn't work in ie (blank page) >doesn't work in chrome (verification endlessly loops) >turn off av >still doesn't work >download hta from their site >outdated script warnings >crashes twice >finally works when it's more convenient to pirate then you know you dun goofed.
Easton Ortiz
This, adobe fully expects a kids and devian-art fags to pirate PS. So that everyone get used to it. Then, those that get a job pay for a license, or more likely: have their company pay for one.
Microsoft would rather you pirate windows than use linux.
Andrew Cruz
>Would you do your job for free? Sure, if I were allowed to abuse the trust of my oblivious clients to gain loads of money in other ways
Thomas Johnson
But goyim, Microsoft worked hard to deliver a telemetry fueled botnet to collect your data without your permission. Don't they deserve a little slack?
Gabriel Parker
>mfw using linux is actually piracy
Eli Clark
>buy used T420 >Install Windows 10 >use key on the back >works like a charm That was easy, and cheaper
Adrian Turner
First, they tried to make you buy it. Then they made you make a "free upgrade" to it. Then they forced it down your throat. Now they will make you download it just to spite em.
Ayden Ward
Should I pirate Windows 10 or use Linux Mint?
Bentley Gutierrez
As long as it's not done by businesses or institutions Microsoft doesn't care.
Andrew Bailey
GNU/Linux Mint
Owen Johnson
I'm not paying for that garbage. It's a mess.
David Moore
This is what I did.
Isaac Nguyen

Gavin Diaz
It depends on how much "nothing" you have to offer.
Jeremiah Ramirez
Well, would you, OP?
Not everybody can simply sit at home and do whatever they want, some other people need money for their basic needs and their families.
Dominic Wood
