why is using tracking protecting slowing down the load time?

Firefox actually is chrome now. I mean, they are technically different products made by same company with same purpose.

>load time decreased
>slowing down

Less Javascript adware being run.

>Slowing

If it is trying to show the opposite then they are doing it wrong.

I just benchmarked the two browsers yesterday and chrome was better.

go back to sleep timmy

Firefox Quantum is not an option since it doesn't support mouse gestures properly.

Chink-Opera waves their dingdong with similar charts in relation to Chrome everytime they optimize their adblocker / make changes in Chromium version they use at the time. They even have a dingdong-waving feature built in the browser showing how much faster pages load with adblocker enabled.

Chrome has highest score so clearly not

I just ran some tests too. Chrome with a couple of extensions is still faster than Firefox without any on my machine.

Avarage page load time is 7.7 sec?
did they test it with their nigger internet or what?
never seen page loading so long

>mouse gestures
nigger fuck off

Firefox is the only option of the two. It's free software. qutebrowser is also really good.

FAKE NEWS
Chrome is still speed king

can confirm chrome is still faster, but sadly chrome has other problems so firefox it is

how is it possible to be slower with tracking on? they know you, they track you, they should already know what site are you going to open and have it already preload.

Might explain why Chrome is actually the fastest

Is there a problem?

It is you who are doing histogram reading wrong.

Meme benchmarks != page loading time
Yes goys, give out our personal data so that you get 10% higher scores in some benchmarks.
Meanwhile firefox loads pages faster and doesn't spy on you.

Are you trying to say that pages that take 7 seconds to load are not memes?

>"its fast is the "only reason" I use it"
>I love tracking and I have windows 10, too!

Attached: 1511753634930.png (1024x1113, 214K)

This chart is made by Mozilla isn't it?

>7+ seconds of page load time
Not even on a fucking old single core Athlon.
Who the fuck made that absolute lie of a graph? Let me guess, desperate Mozilla people, right?

>please use my browser
Fucking pathetic.

guess it's without adblocking

no, anything blocking scripts is faster

>histogram

Fucking safari on iOS shits on Firefox

>Chrome with a couple of extensions is still faster than Firefox without any on my machine.
How about testing the browsers both with extensions you retard.
>Hurrr my chrome with adblock is faster that ff without

Attached: image:131452.png (1507x789, 2.1M)

Irrelevant until they fix the issue with zoom not working at all on quantum.

But god chrome is such a piece of shit, typing anything into the address bar pulls up all of my porn bookmarks automatically and there is no way to disable this shit.

care to explain? if that's the case, then why are there endless inconsistencies in how APIs are implemented?

ads are automatically blocked by my home gateway, so I don’t need any browser ad blocker. My Chrome extensions are adding traffic if anything (stylish, gmail checker, twitch checker, lastpass, blockchain dns, pushbullet and so on)

>shorter page load times
>slower

>reading comprehension

>now

regardless of the image suggesting anything taking 7secs to load a page, are people here that mentally challenged they don't understand a lower page loading time actually means it's faster? I thought this shit was obvious.

chrome is still better because it needs less RAM

Nah, firefox still gives way more control than chrome or any chromium-based browser.

Attached: read.png (1530x800, 104K)

Chrome doesnt even give you the option to use less RAM

Attached: content_process.png (1923x1269, 108K)

They may implement the same plugin api but they are vastly different in everything else

Attached: 23425656713.jpg (800x450, 36K)

I didn't know there was an option in Firefox to use less RAM

Chrome://flags

Not surprised honestly, Jow Forums likes to shitpost about things they dont understand.

Open firefox quantum, hold down ctrl on the catalog page and move your scroll wheel.

ZOOM IS FUCKING BROKEN AND HAS BEEN FOR HALF A YEAR

Firefox also lets you use disk or mem cache, and lower or disable cache. As well as many other options in about:config that Chrome does not give you control of.

Works fine here you retard

Changing font sizes is not zoom you mental abortion.

Retard

>out of arguments
he is right, jsuk

Until Chrome gives me the option to turn off the fucking autocomplete in the address bar like Firefox does I don't really give a fuck how much slower Firefox is or how many sites only work properly on Chrome because it's the only browser normies are aware of.

i would normally say it always was but firefox has become botnet

literally the first result in google tells you how to do so
lmgtfy.com/?q=turn off autocomplete address bar

been using firefox since 1.5
before that opera

recently got an old samsung tablet for free and it turns out they can't handle webm natively (seriously, fucking samsung)
so I had to use chrome, because it uses it's own decoder.
okay overall I guess, but it's really annoying as it automatically logs into all google shit

do you not explore menus, etc?

If only it gave you the options to disable everything or it was completely foss so you could compile yourself. Oh wait...

spyware.neocities.org/articles/firefox.html

Is that not a histogram?

Exactly, it can all be disabled.

im not sure if FF uses webkit but if they do then yes it is basically chrome. anything that uses webkit is just chrome.

>TIIIIMMMAAAAHHHHH

>7 second page loads
What is this, 2000?

>A histogram is an accurate representation of the distribution of numerical data. It is an estimate of the probability distribution of a continuous variable (quantitative variable) and was first introduced by Karl Pearson.[1] It is a kind of bar graph.
The picture in OP may be a bar graph but not a histogram.

Ok. Excuse me for not being english/american. I will fix my statement:
"Someone has issue reading bar graphs"

What does your nationality have to do with this?

why does firefox keep doing this

Attached: fq.jpg (1921x954, 190K)

You don't think that being from non english speaking country it is quote natural to not know difference between histogram and bar graph if you don't need to use that word on job/see it often on iternet?

What I don't see is what my not knowing word "bar graph" has to do with my point. It still stands.

because uhide origin fails its race condition
>listening to the uhide origin developer
lmao

damn that lil nigga is fucking everything up these days

PEBKAC
It's probably because of one of your extensions though (ublock maybe)

Why wouldnt you listen to him? He makes the best adblocker and script blocker.

Attached: Firefox.png (3840x2108, 3.14M)

Your point is also wrong, though I don't really care about that.

What sort of barbarian language do you use that has no difference between bar chart and histogram?

i only have ublock so it's gotta be

It's called exactly the same even in Russian.
It should be the same in every language, because it's a (somewhat) scientific notation.

What's your language that they are the same?

Prove my point is wrong.

language I use daily has nothing to do with this. Maybe I just did not know how it is called in english so I used closesT word I knew?

Prove your point is right. You claim he personally is reading the chart wrong, yet he made a post about something else entirely, about how the chart does not illustrate their point very well to general public.

No where I said it same word in my language. I just did not know how ot is called in english so I used closest word.
Could have used direct translation "column chart" but that did not sound right.
Fucking point is - my point still stands. And everyone reading DID understand what I was saying.

It ilustrates their point perfectly. If you do not see their point you have bar graph comprehension problems.
Srsly, what is confusing about it?

WHY PEOPLE THINK I GIVE A FUCK ABOUT 3 SECONDS?
I hope they realize that a few seconds in page load don't justify consume half my memory.

> If you do not see their point you have bar graph comprehension problems.
And a lot of people do, and Firefox team actually wants to convince those people that Firefox is better, hence they made a bar chart that does not illustrate their point very well.

BRAVE BROWSER FTW! Fastest browser I've ever used.

Chrome is and always will be the best.

Nice try cryptofag. Want to increase value of your tokens?

>most people are retards
>thus your perfectly fine graph is bad!

what should they have used? Picture of potato?

I thought that way but ever since they stuffed that antivirus in, I've ditched it. Can't stand how bloated google is trying to make chrome, moving further and further away from the original intention was just a fast simple browser.

Who the fuck have bookmarked porn?

And this is important because you run web browser on a fucking potato?

>thus your perfectly fine graph is bad!
Yes, but unironically. A graph that is likely to be misunderstood by its intended audience is bad.

>what should they have used? Picture of potato?
A metric where higher value means better performance.

Menus are botnet
Menus are bloat

Who are you quoting

memory hogfox

>A graph that is likely to be misunderstood by its intended audience is bad.
Are they really aiming at that kind of idiots? Are that kind of idiots even looking at these graphs? Don't you think they just read "firefox be faster" on buzzfeed and ignore pictures?
This seems to be aimed at people that are actually interested in such comparisons. And people like that would know how to read such graph (ofcourse I would put it on side- time on x axis... row graph?)

>A metric where higher value means better performance.
Example?
"Time saved by using our browser" is idiotic and would not work and would be mocked to hell.

Click on numbersat top of post to see who I was answering to.

Even Edge is demonstrably faster.

Works for me

if you turned off chrome tracking then you wouldn't have a browser so checkmate
