Old Threads (the moron last time didn't even link to the old threads): >Not sure what private trackers are all about? The mission of /ptg/ is to promote the highest possible standards of tracker service by providing members with opportunities for professional development, by recognizing technical competence through examinations and by advancing the interests of its members.
Remember the following: >Staff occasionally read these generals and have posted here before. >Don't discuss breaking rules. Don't discuss invite selling, trading, or giveaways. Don't discuss ratio cheating. Tracker staff don't like it and that's the whole reason they might be /mark/ing us to begin with. You can get into trackers legit, and you don't need to cheat on ratio to survive. It's not that hard to be a good user of the torrent community, and the consequences for not are catastrophic.
AKA how to upload 10mb per day on RED and get into your desired trackers in only 5 years. Everything on that list that isn't blatantly obvious could be easily disregarded as a personal choice a user makes.
Caleb Rivera
What private tracker is doing cracked games?
Zachary Rogers
What do you mean doing them? As in actually cracking them? Most of that activity is done by scene groups and has nothing to do with trackers.
>only on BBT >not on BBT, AB, and AT >thinks he's masterrace

why would I go for some autism interview to get into red when i can just dl deezloader and get my flacs from there?
Jackson Watson
what was the first thing someone ever torrented
Caleb Johnson
You can't get into PTP from deezloader
Jose Torres
Deezer isn't very good. Lot of the songs there are corrupted, poorly tagged and sometimes outright wrong album in place of another. And I'm not talking about Deezloader, but when listened in Deezer itself.
Jason Allen
Oh and you might have an arist's entire discography there except for one or two albums.
Man, I could really go for a power fuck right now.

I currently can't do port forwarding on my router. Would I be able to do port forwarding if I bought a VPN? As in, to be able to connect to every seed/peer no problem. Or is a seedbox a better option? Sorry if stupid question.
Andrew Rivera
Is port forwarding even required? I've been torrenting for years and aren't aware of having ever forwarded any ports. Does this mean my ports were forwarded by default (otherwise torrenting wouldn't work), or is it something additional that I'm harming myself by not having looked into?
Christian Perry
Most clients have UPnP on by default.
Joshua Fisher
I know someone who was banned from all cabal for a serious offense like trading or something I think and guy got into all of them again in less than a year, actually I think in a few months or something. funny thing is he didn't even had hdb before he was cabal banned but now he has ptp btn hdb everything. he did this in a few months. and here im a good boy on all of the trackers but i can't even imagine to get into hdb.
Tyler Williams
>trading >serious
Austin White
port forwarding is not something you should worry about in 2018. it was relevant 15-20 years ago. most clients you use today will open their ports themselves.
>otherwise torrenting wouldn't work not true. even if your ports are closed everything will work just fine thanks to reverse connection. you wouldn't connect some peers that's all but it shouldn't have huge impact. as I said modern programs handle these things pretty good. port forwarding is an old time meme
Xavier Mitchell
well, isn't trading and selling invites considered a serious offense? why would they ban him from everywhere then?
Henry Gutierrez
Damn. How come nobody leeches anything from me ever then?
Christopher Price
Alright, so my Empornium account got temp disabled due to inactivity, which is understandable cause I didn't use it for almost 6 months straight. But I went to log in yesterday and their IRC channel is all fucked up and the cert is expired. Allegedly says it's trying to download a buttcoin miner too. Has anyone else noticed this? Also, how would I contact EMP staff to get my account back?
you better fix your crap "tracker" zed instead of shitposting on Jow Forums

>1. JCT will not be a Gazelle clone - We have (and still are) creating something entirely unique, which includes the back-end as well as the UI for the front-end. 2. We are not using Gazelle at all, to be more precise. (There was an internal project already in progress before TC went dark, and we are now working hard to finish that up. We recently added some new members to the team to help out.

Thanks, good response. For the record, though - when I said "(otherwise torrenting wouldn't work)", that was also part of the question - wondering if torrenting working was an indication that I DID have port forwarding enabled, IF it was actually a requirement. But that's cleared up now, thanks for the response.

Someone make a new thread

Why? We're not even close to this thread getting locked. Do you not like the OP or something?

we dont reply to just anyone; we have a reputation to uphold here
I wanted to reply to a lot of these posts but I'm busy ratio building, trying to transcend user classes on multiple trackers at the same time.
With that said fuck the curry commandments.

I have less and less time to upload. How do i make an upload bot in python? (Or any other language.) Let's say I'm able to parse the data that needs to be filled on the upload page when you do it manually. How do I send it to the site programatically? Is it just a post request? How do i find the endpoint to post when the site has no api?
David Reyes
>How do I send it to the site programatically? Is it just a post request? How do i find the endpoint to post when the site has no api? Most do have an API. Probably very similar to the default Gazelle ones, but might vary by site. Just ask in the corresponding tracker's IRC channel and someone will point you in the right direction. If not, then ask in their help forum. It's difficult to point you in the right direction without knowing the tracker.
Dominic Adams
>With that said fuck the curry commandments. Yeah, fuck the curry commandments. Who keeps posting that shit?
Carson Gray
Probably the fag that wrote it
Dylan Thompson
I'd like to do it for ncore first any maybe later for other trackers. It's not gazelle sadly.
Aaron Green
Anime archiver here, my fucking ISP started blocking torrent traffic after two weeks of me saturating my connection 24/7, even though I bought a business connection. Fuckers. Anyway I had to get a VPN so I got ExpressVPN, and it's made my connection slightly more unstable and a tad slower. Is that normal? It's workable for now but moderately annoying, and with 10,000 torrents active I'm starting to scrape for RAM/CPU on my decade old gaming computer.
Yeah post in their forums then, ask if anyone is currently automating uploads. If not ask staff to implement an API endpoint.
Alexander Bell
>it's made my connection slightly more unstable and a tad slower. Is that normal? Yep, VPNs will definitely make your connection at least a bit slower, and probably a little unstable as well. Who's your ISP?
James Brooks
Does anyone use Electorrent? I'm running Deluge on my seedbox but it keeps randomly crashing. I don't like using a webclient for rTorrent because adding torrents is more annoying and I don't have much options since I'm on windows. I like Deluge since I can just connect to my seedbox with the desktop client, but I can't use it since it seems to be so unstable. Any other options for me?
John Peterson
Yeah it's normal. You might not want to torrent on the same machine you use for normal browsing/other activity. The best thing you can do if you can't do that is to find a VPN node with as low a ping as possible. Probably one geographically close to you. You still have to deal with the VPN overhead but it lessens the blow.
Jaxon Flores
>more anime sites going down Oh fuck there's less time than I thought. I hope I'm able to get everything in time.
And what about gazelle based sites? Are they easier? I know they have some sort of api but not for uploading afaik.
Alexander Miller
Comcast. They're the only option where I live. It's not my first rodeo so I made sure to get a business connection (no bandwidth caps, better customer service) but when I called they said that unless I want to take them to court they won't stop filtering my traffic.
I was planning to build a new gaming computer anyway and put this machine on full time torrent duty (with some kind of lightweight linux install), but not for another half a year or so. There aren't even any games I really want to play so it'd be kind of wasteful.
>people still use APL after the horrific mismanagement that occurred and that one fag disappearing with all the user data and that one other fag disappearing with all the donations stay cucked
Colton Johnson
Really not for uploading? I've never actually automated the uploading of torrents. Just ask on the tracker's website lol, you're surely not the first to try automating the uploading on the site.
Caleb Lopez
>Comcast. They're the only option where I live. I'm so sorry.
Nathaniel Moore
fucking mtv making me download shit on ipt because they haven't upped my show yet. i need btn REEEEEEEEEEEEEEe
Michael Clark
Or you could skip BTN and graduate straight to HDB. As long as your shows aren't nonscripted shit.
Robert Barnes
let me strap on my hdb helmet squeeze down into my hdb cannon and fire off into hdb land where hdb invites grow on hdbs

I've got my eye open for any jobs in a Google Fiber city but there's just nothing right now. I'm thinking of Kansas City if at all possible.
There are other gigabit providers in the US too if you look around. Some municipal some not.
William Phillips
Municipal would probably be best because they're less likely to keep logs, or if they do keep logs easy to bribe to have a tragic accident that loses all the logs. Oopsie!
I know you're joking, but hdb invites are actually super easy to get if you know what you're doing. In 9 short months, you're guaranteed an invite.

so how often does trackers come up in irl life
Jeremiah Jenkins
Not very often. More likely I share content I got off trackers with people I know IRL. My IRL friends know I'm the guy that can get any kind of content.
Thomas Brown
BTN is at the max users
LOL YOU'RE FUCKED IF YOU AREN'T IN ALREADY
John Hall
Should I get a bunch of users disabled to contribute to our plight? I already got one a few weeks back. Friend of mine is banned on BTN so I stole someone else's account at his request and they banned it. We both lol'd quite a bit about that.
