Unironically this...
They trick you by using a bunch of meta packages so it looks like the total amount is much less.
Then when you pull in every library and dependency you end up with 200 new programs just to install Plasma desktop.

I just use window managers now.

Ask yourself this: "Do I really have so little space?"

what you're sacrificing is disk space instead of wasted time using a window manager, believe me the latter is more important

ask yourself this, would you rather use your expensive disk space for something you want to use it for, or a developers laziness?

What makes you think I don't want the software?
KDE is designed with OOP which means in order to share features between applications, they use a ton of libraries.
I think it is a good thing.
If you don't, then you should use something else.
But don't cry about missing features on your minimal system when you chose another route yourself.

Been using i3 alone for almost two years here, and never missed anything.

What is KDE saving you wrt a simple window manager?

Good for you.
I tried it but the defaults were so bad I decided to quit it entirely.

>an application designed specifically for one DE ties in so much with that DE that it needs half of said DE to be installed in order to run
Clearly the real problem here is that you haven't yet switched to KDE.

>bloat is defined by number of dependencies
When will this meme end? Number of packages doesn't determine bloat

>Using default i3
kek

half of them take over hour to compile, while a suite of alternatives takes less than that combined

Windows doesn't have this problem.

appimage eliminates this problem.[1]

1. kdenlive appimage depends on dvdauthor.

Everything else is just an unneeded dependency.

Not everyone is autistic enough to want to customize i3 like you NEETS do

>ctrl+c
>ctrl+v
>autistic NEET

When you where a baby, how often did your parents dropped you?

>install something designed to give you a full desktop experience
>surprised it has a lot of stuff

windows installs candy crush by default

>install a GTK application
>pulls in GTK
What the fuck?

wrong.
