Do any of you guys use analog multimeters?
ATTN: ELECTRICIANS AND THOSE IN RELATED FIELDS
Yes many. Why?
>analog multimeters
>analog
>anal
ask a journeymen, i don't know.
I need to test something.
Ok? Do you know how to use one?
That's for noobs. Real experienced electribros just use their tongue
I use digital in the lab.
Yes. What's up? Analog dial is your only display? And now you need to fucking Study something?
It's like the difference between analog dial and digital display calipers. Analog dial one is the accurate/precise one, digital display is the quick and handy one.
No I'm a Kleinfag
Sort of. I need to put the meter in series in a circuit to test load, right?
Depends if you're measuring voltage, current, resistance
What's the point? Digital multimeters these days come with a lot more handy features.
No! why?
We do have a high voltage analog one at work. I've never used it.
I'm testing load current.
You're correct, do it in series.
Never mind the analog meter stuff. I'm done testing.
Yes it needs to be in series. Unless its one of these bad bois.
You see, it was all a ruse. The thread stayed alive for one hour, mentioning anaLOG seven times and the Andy Sixx log of shit guy didn't show up. Test failed.
He hasn't been as active lately for some reason.
how did I miss this obvious logposter thread
my mind is starting to slip
I use a Fluke digital meters, btw.
>have a multimeter
>never use it
....
I exclusively use Soviet-made analog multimeters from the 70s that are the size of a toaster
