This is going to age poorly.
This is going to age poorly
You're meant to buy a new one every year, oldfag.
>X299
It's already shit.
welcome to technology nigger
So just turn off the LEDs? I don't understand the problem
What do you expect from LGA2066
LGA2011-0, LGA2011-3 age much better due to Xeons(Xeon Ws don't count)
Why can't you buy enthusiast stuff that isn't all RGB 1337?. I just want a nice stately cream colored pcb with some understated heatsinks.
I don't even know why user, what's worse is when I see Jow Forums defending this fuckshit when it's the same thing we used to make fun of Alienware for.
Instead of complaining, let's shre what we think is a mobo for adults
>ASRock Taichi series
>ASUS Prime series
>...
What's wrong with getting an RGB LED board? If you don't like the LEDs, just set the color to black.
You give them a sale
>Taichi nonsense
>Not Gigabyte UD3 before they started doing that dumb shit with the silk screening
>WAAAAH THIS HAS A FEATURE I DON'T WANT
So what? Some other people like the feature and apart from that the board does what you want. Buy it and turn off the feature you don't want.
>WAAAAAH JUST DISABLE IT
But I'm still paying for this crap.
Find a board without it but otherwise comparable features and quality. Compare the price.
>LGA2066
I'm so sorry, OP - intel saw people recycling Xeons into their 1366/2011 boards and decided to step up the jewing and split HCC chips into 2066 and 3647.
>already looks like its from the 80s
>the 80s will be cool forever
nah
Holy shit I did not know they've done that, and 3647 is huge for an LGA, so don't you dare drop that shit on the pins.
It only looks like it's from the 80s when you set the colors that way.
If the MSI Raider does everything you want and you think it's built well enough, buy that instead of bitching about a product that's made for people who want a feature you don't care about.
PC gaming and building has been dumbed down enough to attract a whole lot of tasteless faggots.
i don't want disgusting wifi on my motherboard but yet most boards these days are shipping with stupid wifi adapters. hell, i don't evven want onboard audio but impossible to get a board now that doesn't have it. i also could care less for ps/2 ports, usb 2.0 headers / usb 2.0 ports, and some other stuff but impossible to get it without it. but you know what, i'm in the minority. and so are you. but at least we have the option to turn off the bloat. don't like led's? turn them off. don't use the onboard audio? turn it off in the bios. simple. i also look at this way, i'll still be charged the same if it didn't come with that garbage so if at least i can turn it off, i'm happy.
I hope someone develops a cryptocurrency that you mine with LEDs so this kind of shit dies
>MSI
>quality
The key to RGB is that you DON'T LEAVE IT ON FUCKING RAINBOW GAY BARF ALL THE TIME! All it does is enable you to change the colors around when you want (so you're not stuck on a monochrome color scheme).
>LGA2011-0
How do they get away with this shit?
I remember buying i7-3930k, thinking that I'll be able to upgrade in the future as 2011 was marketed as "future proof".
Next thing I know 2011-1 comes out.
>ERP ready
lewd
Because the United States has the weakest consumer protection policies of any first world nation.
Even the United Cuckdom wouldn't let this shit fly if Intel was UK based.
You think the LED craze is going age poorly? Just look at this shit.
Fun fact: The box had a warning on it saying the heatsink wasn't a real gun.
Seems like you hate freedom, yurocuck.
This made me laugh more than I'm comfortable to admit
It's already obsolete. Just few months after that Threadripper has been released. And then few months later the Coffee Lake released continued with Ryzen 2nd Gen
>Fun fact: The box had a warning on it saying the heatsink wasn't a real gun.
you amerifags will never disappoint me, always a brainlet warning on your boxes
About that...
Pop pop pop
watch the temperatures drop
This is the 2010-2020 version of computer components. in 2000-2010 it was something like pic related
>10. UAE
>25. Germany
>i don't want disgusting wifi on my motherboard but yet most boards these days are shipping with stupid wifi adapters.
dumb ass, you can remove the wifi card and you get a nice M.2 key a+e slot for other shit, you can even extend it to mPCIe or regular PCIe.
Pic related, I do this on my ITX to get an extra PCIe slot
>intel socket
>X299
>age
this is going to end in anudda shoa
Customs had a field day with this one
I love gigabyte to death but that's cringe.
pop pop
pci slots
>Another socket to buy for $500+
>Freedom
I don't fucking understand
>Meanwhile ayymd boards from 2011 got the 8350 with a bios update and stayed current for a while
Intel are pricks.
>place ugly motherboard in windowless tower
>place tower under desk
What is the issue here?
>he looks at the screen instead of the motherboard when he wants to use his PC
whats wrong with you
>Windowless tower has airholes in either the side panel or rear
>RGB light shines out of it
>He doesn't keep a spare of his motherboard in the motherfucking packaging and randomly look at it
>take pliers from middle desk drawer
>crush LEDs one by one
>all is darkness
Heck, pc parts in general age fast.
I've had the LGA 1150 socket for 2 years and compatible cpus are reaching discontinuation.
I was late to the game but damn.
Huh? 2011-1 is for Xeon E7s
Amen to that.
The rgb fad has become quite annoying.
Especially tech youtubers with barebone knowledge of pc hardware pushing this rgb thing even harder (as that's a solid portion of their subs)..
the asus deluxe/prime is pretty
Sorry user but..
