>tfw using a common sense pro keygen gave me ransomware

I got infected last year with some really nasty ransomware even with an antivirus. Called itself Windows 10. Nearly encrypted by Windows 8 install.

Windows has a shitload of security breaches. Only common sense don't work in a corporate environment.

I will never forget the day that i realize that applying a x (pretty sure it was for some older MS SQL server) patch on a windows server shutdown the firewall service and the security central service.

this

I must use a AV, have a decent job.... Only a NEET dont needs a AV.

You didn't use enough if it.

I do run Malwarebyte's on-demand virus scan occasionally.

I even disabled Windows Defender. Just affects performance negatively..

>Windows has a shitload of security breaches.

This.

So "common sense" would mean not using Windows.
Not always an option.

Running McAfee
Have pic related as Wallpaper
Hackers don't even stand a chance.

I only got a really really bad virus when i downloaded a yandex Browser or some other ruski pig shit i cant remember. Icouldnt remove that shit with malewarebytes, adware cleaner, cc cleaner, it came always back and chamged my starting page, downloaded files i deleted, downloaded widgets and so on. Despite the fact i had a premium key of avast at that time

kek

I share a laptop with my sister and I've installed an AV because of her

Post her pics.

Anti-AV users are basically the anti-vac retards of the internet.

Some universities require Mac or Windows these days to even connect to their internet.

I use ESET on my laptop and phone, love it. It's saved my ass on a number of occasions.

Going off that, my university, Clemson, required you use a script to connect to the internet. That script installed anit-virus software for you. It was "required" to connect to their internet.

Stop downloading lostboy.exe then.

>compatible with all OSs
>doesn't list android or BSD

I ran CommonSense for around 8-9 years, but just bought pic_related because I'm a motion graphics / VFX artist dealing with a lot of data and harddrives from clients, and lots of emails. There are times that I'm tired and my CommonSense doesn't work properly. I wanted to avoid disaster in case of any mistakes.

Also now that I'm getting rich, spending a little cash on something that gives me comfort for my mind isn't an issue.

Does that work on Windows only? What if you want to connect to the network with a laptop with Gahnoo/Linux on it?

>Larger screen cap with Speccy

Peace of mind is worth any price

You are hosed. It only runs on Mac or Windows. I think there was a workaround, but it involved taking your laptop to campus IT for some reason.

Huh, why is Speccy showing 1333MHz for my RAM? Should be 3000MHz.

hmmm

I have to use Windows anyway. Adobe programs don't run on linux.

Jesus. I'm glad my college merely requires username and password via WPA2/Enterprise.

My day to day user account is not an admin account and anything important I keep encrypted and keep copies on multiple devices. I'm not worried about it. Worst case scenario I reformat and reinstall. Not a big deal.

I am a professor by trade, so I travel to a lot of colleges. The accepting of security certificates and scripts are becoming more and more common.

this

>old windows install I was going to nuke
>try everything under the sun to poz it up to the eyeballs for fun
>the most I could manage was some browser shitware that advertised handbags
What happened to the internet? Way back when I would be able to simply click on any .ru domain and my shit would be toast
I honestly don't even know how people catch a virus these days

>sharing a laptop

i once got some adware on a fresh install, just out of curiosity installed 4-5 different adware removal software, ran all of them, none of them completely removed the adwares.

lolowned by intel so its not same.

>256gb, 128gb, two 512gb ssd
>Non-industry standard monitor for graphics work
>literally making YouTube gaming videos

lmfao SAD

>common sense has anything to do with shady scripts taking advantage of bleeding edge browser exploits

ok

Go on any torrent tracker and go to most popular torrents and download all the ones that say they were uploaded today and have 50,000 seeders and leachers. Additionally go on a porn site or torrent site and click on ads or google free serial key download for a certain game or program and download it

BenQ BL Series. 4K. 32"

What are you even?

I'm working on the post production of two netflix series.

do you know how many retards will open an email full of engrish nonsense sent to everyone in the office from some random person? there is no such thing as common sense in most human beings.

their defense is "well i always get emails from them!"
