Brown and tan doesn't look good with green and blue and red. I think it'd look good with an orange gradient scheme based on the background of your wallpaper with subtle bluegreen accents like the foreground ground lighting.

Just installed Ubuntu 17. Moved away from Debian Testing.

Couldn't get FFI working w/ SDL2/SDL2 Mixer + Emacs/Slime. Spent way to long fucking w/ header files, env variables, and compiler shit from source.

Ubuntu just works.

Time to actually get some shit down now.

Compiling everything was tedious but cake. The issue was sbcl couldn't find any of my header files (spent a long time reading source code of cffi, asking Qs, and Googling shit trying to figure it out).

The weird part was when compiling lisp programs with roswell (which uses it's own sbcl) rather than my system's sbcl worked fine! Really aggravating.

Yes, I am noticing the high cpu usage. Not great. A much more pleasant experience than when I last tried Ubuntu w/ 12, though.

Blows my mind how user friendly it has gotten over the years.

If so, do you know any good guides? I have a nice PC, but I hate using it because Windows is just windows and Linux requires you to spend all day fixing it instead of doing actual work.

Not him, but here's a rundown of what you would need to do (intel processor and not a weird ass setup recommended):

1. Download a virtual machine with macOS high sierra or sierra already installed
2. Create an apple account
3. Use that account on that virtual machine and download the installer from the app store
4. Create the USB installer with some tools, you can look how in places like insanelymac or tonymacx86, that inside that virtual machine as well
5. Install and do some shit

I've been thinking of installing it again, I may do just that.

VLC is designed to be broken so that it will play corrupted files. It won't spit out errors letting you know your file is fucked and should be replaced/fixed/redownloaded.

Oh, then that is definitely going to be easier and faster, the need for the VM is just if you don't have a real mac (or another hackintosh). That tonymac website, although ciriticized, hosts the simplest guide.

protip: don't use multibeast. unibeast is fine for creating the installer if you really don't want to do it in terminal, but multibeast installs can be disorganized and it's better to just find what drivers you need and put them in the ESP yourself

Using anything but Linux for browsing Tor is gay.
You can use Tor for the surface web on other OSs, I guess, but always make sure you are connected via HTTPS and use a background VPN.
For browsing the deep web though, only use Linux.

You won't and that's part of the problem. If you don't care if your .mp4 file is mangled to all levels of fuck and back and don't care about maintaining an archive of your videos then just use VLC.
If you give a shit about your files being correct, shareable, less likely to be fully corrupted by a cosmic ray bit flip, and able to convert to other/smaller formats for use on your phone or whatever then listen to user. VLC is designed to try its best to play absolutely anything - no matter how corrupted/shitty the file is. For some people that's an issue.
