Net neutrality was a left communist meme for ISPs. Glad it's going.

The internet is already centralized and dead. The majority of interent traffic is from social media, and from streaming video. This will change nothing, because nobody uses the internet for anything other than consumerist spew.

/thread
Now netflix and google will have to pay for their vastly disproportionate network share rather than the cost being passed onto consumers.

Absolutely nothing will change

Drinking and watching anime. Same as every night.

>le epic Jow Forums meme XD

Sure, but it will cause additional increases in cost for the consumers and make it harder to break out of this jew cycle

LOL

It will, but slowly just like the annual cable price hikes.
>It's only 1$ more a month, goy. Couting shekels is expensive. What are you gonna do, cut cable? Hah!

Finding an associated image is more effort than you're worth.
you're a faggot.

>the cost being passed onto consumers.
>implying they'll decrease consumer costs
>implying the services from shit that'll get throttled and/or forced to pay per data used wont increase their costs onto consumers
implying you're anything but an idiot whos opinion shouldn't be spewed onto the internet for the world, lest reveal what an idiot you is
but it's too late for that

you've been reading too much propaganda

Enjoying my recently doubled internet speeds.

Didn't one of his goons go to prison for corruption? For how long are you magapede retards going to keep defending this street shitting scam artist?

It's like I'm reading pre-baked talking points from some cambridge analitica script.

T-Mobile ended up throttling video streaming quality and not counting data charges if you used their business partners (not charging data if you used Spotify, for example). So it's likely that Verizon/Comcast/AT&T would try to do something like that.

You have been fed nothing but.

Hope that after the stock market crashes, big cable/telecom does very poorly.

Net neutrality wasn't going to break comcast either way

>using news meme
>doesn't know what it means
you have to go back

I got gigabit with no caps a month after NN was declared repealed. Obviously this is a pro-progress decision.

IT'S GONNA BE A SHECKLESHOA

>Now netflix and google will have to pay for their vastly disproportionate network share rather than the cost being passed onto consumers.

This. It's all about fairness. Google and Netflix would never bribe ISPs to throttle and destroy smaller competitors. Thats a cultural marxist lie.

You've actually got no idea how the internet works do you...
If YOU wanted to start a website that streams videos - who would pay for it?
Is it you? Yes.
What if the datacenter you decided to locate all of your servers in, didn't have fast interconnectivity
Who would pay for more? You? Yes.

Why should that be different for NetFlix?

>fairness
>content providers already pay the GB
>fairness
>most end users have an ISP choice of take or leave it
>fairness

p.s. its fucking cancer

Please learn what Net Neutrality is, you dumb Russian bot.

Why was this pushed in 2009, but nothing happened?

reddit.com/r/pics/comments/9yj1f/heres_a_new_scenario_i_just_created_illustrating

>Everyone I disagree with is a russian bot

Why were they able to do that under NN?

Thats what a russian bot or "reactive marketing" cunt would say.

Fuck off and get a real job

Yep sure caught him good job ameriturd. All Russians are evil. Fact.

If you degenerates are so scared of evil corporations taking your anal virginity after NN repeal - use the chance and get ultra rich by starting your own IPS company the popularity of which will skyrocket due to implementing none of those "shady tactics" supposedly every single other ISP will.
Or alternatively, stop being fucking retarded and learn how the market works.

>start your own ISP
LOL

Don't care about russians. People pushing pajeets agenda are more likely marketers.

Professional shitposters. What a life! Guess jobs like that are the final stage before suicide.

>get ultra rich by starting your own IPS company
>Whats high barrier to entry
I swear to god, anti-nn idiots get dumber every single day.

>How are you preparing for when net neutrality is abolished at midnight tonight?

I have a bottle of champagne ready.
This shit is overdue. Dumb asses have ruined the net. It needs control and regulation. Party time is over

>Everyone I disagree with is a marketer
Big ego there m88.

It's funny because smaller, rural communities actually did that to get internet. Until the bigger ISPs lobbied to have them banned.

Not everyone. Just the poor fucks who get 20 cents per post.

>jus start your own ISP!

Existing ISPs have been playing dirty for a good, long time. You need an army of lawyers to stave off the legal pursuit before you can even break ground.

Attached: 1418094585804.jpg (535x462, 34K)

>make new isp
>costs billions
>get sued by comcast

Your point being? ISPs have made it harder to get in through legislation on the local level, so they can have more of a monopoly status. its all the more reason FOR Net Neutrality, not against.

>el meme
You're a waste of time, I'm glad nobody takes your pro repeal horseshit seriously. Find a proper job, you sick little faggot.

Explain how, in detail, 20c shill poster.

>using reddit memes
>believing them
>i say bullshit
>somehow i've been brainwashed
wew

That was the point.

Keep dodging.

>You've actually got no idea how the internet works do you...
If you did, you wouldn't need to parrot Jow Forumsthe_donald's misinfo guidelines. It takes willful ignorance on the subject to even pretend net neutrality is harmless, let alone beneficial for you as a customer.

And if the ISP decided that your traffic is a threat to their video streaming business and decided to price you out of business, who would pay for it?
Is it you? Yes.

one example is the fees and ownership of telephone poles. Google fiber threw in the towel because of this very problem, and they had billions to throw around for metropolitan areas. Big ISPs just made it that hard.

It's honestly kinda fucked up that there's a few guys here who think repealing net neutrality was a good thing but their best argument is that in best case scenario things won't change for the worse lmao

>shaming tactics
>disinfo taking points
>just start your own ISP, bro!
This is just pure gold. How did you manage to become such a coercible retard?

>ISPs have made it harder to get in through legislation on the local level

>ISPs
>s
>more than 1
>monopoly

Retards from Reddit have arrived.

Historically, the FCC classified wireless internet service as a different category "mobile broadband" than regular ISPs, and lived under less strict rules than regular "fixed broadband" ISPs.

>Build network of poles with private capital
>Now have to share them with trillion dollar corporation for free
Why?

>Getting screwed over is good cause uh daddy and maga
This has been your mantra for the last year and a half.

Why would repealing NN raise your internet speed?

>more than one ISP means no monopolies!
>what is local monopolies

>Retards from Reddit have arrived.
that would be you

You can't even sage properly, let me speak to your supervisor.

Except that never happened.
Netflix limited themselves to a single datacentre and then when every link out of that datacentre was saturation, they cried foul and demanded that ISPs build to them.
Which isn't how any of that works.

'cause it pisses off liberals. Cry some more.

According to reddit, ISP's have a monopoly. So basically what incentive do they have to upgrade their speeds? Why aren't we all still on dial-up if we were to believe the redditor lies?

How is it not fair that you pay for what you use? Without NN ISPs are allowed to charge people more based on the sort of stuff they use the network more. How is that fair

>being this new
Cross-poster confirmed.

>Whats high barrier to entry
In the context of incomparably favorable market competition conditions and nation-wide (because there's a lot of you retards out there) support? Literally nothing.
There's literally nothing any major IPS will be able to do against you if you try to kick-start your own IPS company getting support and positive publicity for which will be piss easy and Ajit Pie will be the first one running to help your startup if just to save his face.
Of course, all of that in the context of "greedy evil corporations throttling my internets" which won't fucking happen because that's not how the market works, you autistic degenerate.

...

Honestly old Jow Forums would never have had this many people in favour of making the internet worse for themselves, even if their preferred party was in favour of it. What happened

>Americans end up being fucked by big corporations no matter which side they choose
How did you end up like this?

>when you're such an evident fucking paid troll you can't even use the website you were assigned to

Attached: 1511197183671.gif (250x200, 967K)

Not to mention that Reddit's favorite meme, Elon Musk is pretty much doing exactly that on a global scale.
Reddit's most hated evil villain (well second most hated evil villain) Ajit Pai even signed off on their licenses.

How will repealing NN make the internet better?

Jow Forums and Jow Forumsthe_donald happened.
Useful idiots that act against their interest in so many ways. Taxes, net neutrality, international trade just to name a few.

What does that mean for the simpleton?

Yurocucks get cucked by their government and corporations. That's why they routinely block hate content and "piracy" websites.

Remove the ability for incumbent ISPs to prevent competition, since NN was the only reason they're afforded those monopolies.
Even Google themselves are against NN...

It's the same on slashdot, now you get climate change deniers, anti-NN shills and even flat earthers there.
Google the Alliance for Securing Democracy and RoBhat Labs.

Is this better? xD

Attached: Salvia_officinalis0.jpg (640x480, 46K)

.
Thanks for the comprehensive answer

>Remove the ability for incumbent ISPs to prevent competition
Elaborate, this should be good.

>More taxes is better
>More censorship is better
>Allowing China to dump products below cost on US to kill manufacturing base without accepting any return trade is fine
You might be the one voting against you're own interests buddy ;)

ISPs can double dip now. charge you, and then charge the person who's website you visit.

Imagine if you paid the phone bill, and then out of nowhere they demand money for each phone call you receive. Thats the kind of fuckery going on here.

Whatever restrictions prevented your ISP from selling you a facebook + netflix package instead of internet access are now gone. ISPs now have free rein to rape your ass wallet.

Incumbent ISPs have been using NN to prove they don't require competition.
It's really as simple as that.
You already know this though, but it's hurting your paid for narrative.

How will repealing NN improve your internet speed was the question. Your answer is that Reddit talked about monopolies? Couldn't you just give me a straight answer on how will repealing NN improve your internet speed.

Nothing.

The internet will be the same as it were before 2015 when NN meme was enacted.

What if my ISP doesn't want to carry 4chins or the speciality fetish porn sites I frequent?

>Useful idiots that act against their interest
That's socialist for
>accept what we're "giving" you! we know what's good for you, better than you do!

>>More taxes is better
tax custs was a stealth tax increase on everyone but the 1%
>>More censorship is better
You dont know what NN is
>>Allowing China to dump products below cost on US to kill manufacturing base without accepting any return trade is fine
Which is why we shouldnt have pulled out of TPP, which is exactly what trump did. now the dumbass is reconsidering the deal, losing all negotiating power. It would have given a unified front to oppose china, instead of the US getting buttfucked by china on solar and steel.

you mean they'll pay for the bandwidth they use and already pay for, and what else?

>Why aren't we all still on dial-up if we were to believe the redditor lies?
Government buxxx

Is shit actually going down tonight officially?

Was there something in NN that prevented new ISPs from forming?

>Incumbent ISPs have been using NN to prove they don't require competition.
This is wonderful and displays a complete misunderstanding of what net neutrality entails. Good job letting yourself get brainfucked by the interested parties.

>tax cuts increase taxes

>Cuts are an increase!
You've gotta love this level of cognitive dissonance.

>According to reddit, ISP's have a monopoly
How unhinged do you even need to be to pretend ISPs aren't monopolized in the US? Shit, I don't think even paid anti-NN shills are this fucking retarded.

What about NN prevented competition and do you mean ISPs somehow profited from NN? Because the whole point of repealing it for them was to be able to charge more for services they want to charge more for. So it's going to be more profitable for them without it

Redditors say CEO's pocket all the money.

Try again.

There's nothing preventing ISP's from forming right now. Nothing.

>If I call them cuts, they're cuts
Oh god, do you take everything your handlers say at face value?
