Looks less shit, but y tho?

Chrome Canary has FUCKING DISGUSTING BLURRY FONT RENDERING...

...

A history of browser UIs:
Firefox copies Chrome
Chrome copies Firefox
Repeat

Looks like firefox before it went to shit.
Naisu.
Kind of funny chrome is also now lighter than firefox.

materialshit should just die already. they've taken it too far and now are just introducing half-assed broken designs that don't even provide needed features.

>rounded corners
It's shit.

>tfw you lived long enough to see firefox become chrome and chrome become firefox

looks absolutely disgusting, the fuck you're talking about?

There's more mockups in that arse article. I kinda like the new look.

Literally firefox

>browser
>needs to be innovate to compete
>only so much you can do
>rounds corners
>nothing new under the sun

still no vertical tabs

*oracle

why would anyone need this
next you'll be asking for upside down text

MY EYES AAAAAHHHHH

lol

The tabs look so fucking goofy, what were they thinking

They're copying Firefox's UI design omega LUL

Attached: wheeze.jpg (326x326, 17K)

when will i be able to do shit like pic related in chrome or firefox?
join multiple tabs with one 1 (one) address bar

Attached: 1523738480649.png (2560x1400, 1.57M)

Is this really that big of a deal? It's not like that could ever be the only objection to Chrome. And it isn't even in Chrome builds yet.

This. I don't get why they are making everything round in this new material update or whatever the fuck is that, it looks objectively worse and brings nothing new to the table. I mean, compare Android Nougat to Oreo, Nougat with all that card thing looks much better than this new everything is a circle/everything must have rounded corners bullshit

any more retarded ideas?

Attached: Condescending-Wonka.jpg (650x366, 42K)

yeah, keep posting

Never, no one at Google is autistic enough to implement that

>chrome has its distinct style
>firefox copies it to the disgust of the community
>chrome then moves to firefoxs old design good

AARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

*old good design

You can do this in Whale Browser~
Join the revolution!

i might

>not copying Netscape Navigator UI.
Fucking new stuff

tbqh not worth it, pretty much a limited vivaldi even build on top of chromium too

I couldn't use chrome at all just because how shit it does look. Now that it will have some new interface, I may use it. If I ever have the ability to change the UI just like in firefox, I will definitely make the switch.

I will get used to it in two days. Bring it on!

>title bar color went from white to gray
does this imply it will no longer adopt the color used in Windows?

>implying that all font ""smoothing"" isn't blurry

what is this, firefox?

Guess it hasn't hit MacOS yet. Funny how it looks like Firefox in 2011, not that I mind it. That look was fine. It doesn't really matter how tabs are shaped in the end

Pic related. Latest Canary build on macOS

No you dumb fuck. It's a flag
chrome://flags/#top-chrome-md
Set it to "Refresh"

>using Vivaldi for a few weeks now. Quite enjoying it.
>see this

It started with Firefox don't lie. Firefox is the real OG

Finally getting rid of the file folder tabs? Good.

Opera had the look first, then Chrome came out with a similar look, then Firefox 4 copied Opera.

How?

this, it's hilarious

What really pisses me off is how they're trying to avoid borders as much as possible. You can barely tell where the Canary address bar starts/ends.

But Firefox never used material design

>avoid borders as much as possible
>literally added a separator
what did they mean by this

Disgusting.

Wasn't material supposed to use subtle shadows and borders to give a sort of "layered" feeling to shit? What happened to that? And why is everything rounded now?

But why? Look at all of that wasted space in the address bar.

Firefox copied Chrome so now Chrome has to copy Firefox

>profile image in browser
wow

ITT: people who aren't designers

it's that retard ron from ars technica
the motherfucker who can only complain about bezels on the sony xz2 premium and misses the actual issues

You don't need to be a designer or a professional critic to be able to render judgment over whether or not something looks like shit.

I don't see a problem, unless the tab close buttons are still always visible on unfocused tabs.

lol chrome trying to copy firefox from that time firefox tried to copy chrome, what a load of shit. of course Jow Forums is gonna laud this design choice even though they shat on the exact same design by mozilla

>Chrome comes along
>Firefox makes a shit copy of it
>Chrome makes a shit copy of a shit copy of itself

Attached: 1464653098996.jpg (640x480, 137K)

>be able to render judgment over whether or not something looks like shit.
which you clearly aren't able to do

>chrome now looks like firefox before firefox copied chrome

Attached: 1491498723216.png (270x314, 130K)

>they added a little man next to the settings icon

i'm surprised the trapezoid tabs lasted this long. they truly look like ass.

I would use Vivaldi but it's another botnet

Not an argument.
It's like saying: "you're not a faggot, how can you judge another man sucking dicks?"

Designers are cancer and software was better without them.

>Designers are cancer and software was better without them.
t. open-source developer

FagUI soo much it leaks onions

>Using default and not just editing your browser look yourself

Firefox extension Tiling Tabs can do that

looks comfy

Will Chrome be ripping off Firefox until the end of time

>chrome
no thanks

10 million dollars were spent on this change

I used to be angry because they made Firefox look more like Chrome.

Now Chrome is starting to look more like Firefox.
