Looking for a Bluetooth/ usb micro keyboard for edc, something that i could carry and just hook up to anything i need. What is the best /cyb/ recommendation?

Any recommendations for someone who has 0 experience in penetration or "hacking"? I'm just a programmer who has been interested in cybersecurity for a long time.

there are LOTS of resources, some are outdated, some are recent.
fail0verflow's youtuve channel is good if you want some motivation
r/netsec for new
##security and #r_netsec @ freenode to talk to people
etc.

Do you know any similar artists?

>fail0verflow's
err, I meant, live0verflow
also, follow infosec people on twitter and you'll get the news fast

I just finished my CS degree, what are entry level /sec/ jobs I can apply for?

so everyone has a mohawk posting here right?

Attached: litereallymern.jpg (768x433, 48K)

yeah, stop asking to be spoonfed here and go figure out shit on your on, that's the only skill you need

he was asking for advice, user. chill the fuck out, you're not that cool

I'm not cool at all indeed, and I'm giving the advice I think he needs, even if you don't agree with it.

Fuck off idiot, new blood around like that guy is good.

Aww gee your mom let you have TWO Mohawks?

Fucking hell assembly is some ass backwards shit

I see I got you into scandroid OP. Good man.

literally nobody in this field discovers everything on their own. it's a collaborative effort. stop larping for edgepoints on 4chinz

Better than Python...

never said he should learn everything on his own, I said he should learn to figure things out by himself, after that he can actually collaborate with somebody exchanging knowledge in different fields each one knows best.

if you cannot google the most basic shit to get started (which is the most abundant content anyway) then you are already in the wrong path

yeah I'm really getting edgepoints on an anonymous website, retard

I thought we weren't suppose to discuss hacking on this board? Which is fucking lame, just wondering?

Not to get too Jow Forums or anything, but what is everyone's peraonal political ideology? I consider myself Libertarian but I know a lot of cyberpunk enthusiasts are Anarchists. There is a lot of anti-statist rhetoric that comes out of this mindset, so I just want to hear what others have to say.

Bonus question: do you think there is a connection between ideology and aesthetics?

*personal

>anti-statist
less state means we achieved equality but we're way far from that

source code? i love reading malware/trojan sources.

>Better than Python...
fighting words right there user. Got any particular reason?
I just love it because 2.7 is on just about everything.

Extreme libertarian leaning into anarchist here. Fuck the man. I’ve seen some anarchists in this industry but I see a lot more yes men mommas boys. I’ll say anything outside of the “two” (one) party system is pretty rare to be quite honest.

I'm a family orientated tribalist, and a National/Racial Socialist. I believe in some amount of common ownership, I am not against private enterprise, but I believe shelter, food, and water as well as some luxury or at least comfort is a human right. I am either a socialist(Nationalist or Racialist) or a distributist(nationalist or racialist)

Eco Fascism

I like to think I'm libertarian but I also have had a lot of fun working for the military industrial complex. I definitely am on the more conservative spectrum.
I don't really feel like I need to get behind any political movement because I'm just busy trying to be the best I can be.
Whether in this life or the next, I just need to stay scrappy enough to play the game to the point i feel comfortable & happy.
Society could be commie, anarchy, socialist, capitalist, etc and it wouldn't matter. There will always be those who are ahead and those who are not. I want to be ahead.

I exist outside the realm of tags. Why? Even stupid shit like fascism is now trendy because someone put money on propaganda over the net and now everyone thinks they know what is being a fascist and that is good for them and that social justice is about being obnoxious.

So, whatever.

You'll find programmers in the scene but it's 1 in 4 in my own experience.
Further that with people in the security sphere and it is maybe 1 in 20?
But fuck if going out to the basement bar/warehouse to dance till 5am to absolute slamming techno doesn't take the edge off of life.

Python is great for quickly building security tools. A great book for starting is Black Hat Python.
The article on the 19-year-old is cool and has funny comments

>A great book for starting is Black Hat Python.
better than violent python?

>Python is great for quickly building security tools
No is not.

ctf team still and thing? also what about irc or discord?

So any thoughts on ?

still looks to be a weekend general

Shit, I meant

well just my 2cents on it but the OP is pretty decent.
it's a low traffic general but i think it's good that anyone can start it up if they want

lol
the machine learning music thing is cool i wonder what will come of it. and i also wonder if it can counter this new biometric shit, nec.com/en/press/201802/global_20180227_03.html.

>if it can counter this new biometric shit
this is my end goal in terms of hobbies over the course of the next 20 years.
anything that is "machine learning" based. I want to be an anomaly based on the dataset it was trained on.
it won't be easy, especially if you don't want to stick out like a sore thumb in a city.

an but not of the cap variety.

Be sure to bring the LSD and ecstasy.

is there a discord anyone has i can join in and learn on the way?

>nec.com/en/press/201802/global_20180227_03.html
Very neat article. I would be happy to use my earphones to unlock my acounts.

Anything wrong with that, decker?

Not exactly similiar, but The Algorithm is from the same label.

Anarchist. But like, book anarchist not twitter anarchist. Mutualism is cool.
No.

>Listening to Count Zero

We get this question in just about every thread and the answer remains the same: discord is not efficient, this forum is better. There is also a FAQ (or two, rather).

>warehouse parties
I thought those died out along with the cybergoths.

There is a irc channel at rizon if anyone is interested.

is it the Jow Forumscyb one thats full of larping, or the Jow Forumssec one that was completely dead. or something else i dont know.

racial syndicalist. the threat of control by the state would be non existent if white workers held the power

Neither, is just one I've put to experiment on moderation and receive info and direct contact without giving my mail. Is #nfo but is empty right now.

I like social liberalism, but I also see that it would work on all countries

What is exactly being a "cyberpunk"? I'm just the kind of person who just like making some apps, systems and sites, but I get interested on it because of muh aesthetics muh blade runner and etc

It is the number one most asked question in this topic and it is fairly open for interpretation. Also helps checking out the FAQ where this is covered in great detail.

And Blade Runner is definitely part of the aesthetic defining canon.

Would? Or wouldn't?

I am not sure how a liberal immigration policy would work with a liberal welfare policy. We are about to find out here in Northern Europe...

Yeah, right. I meant "wouldn't"

At this rate the site will be dead forever.

>posting /cyb/ stuff on pastebin and youtube
Really makes you think.

Is there a DOS attack going on?

What's the best way to get into hacking shit, starting with very little technical knowledge? I suppose learning programming and scripting should be the first steps?

Attached: 1522589747345.gif (750x750, 1.87M)

Learning bash scripting and eventually python is the first step in my programming journey (and maybe my sec journey later on) so would you annons mind suggesting a few good resources to learn and maybe examples of useful scripts you wrote and use from day to day (or one use sec scripts)

/sec/ News
>A hacker (or group of hackers) has hijacked the DNS servers of MyEthereWallet.com, a web-based Ether wallet service.
>According to Oracle's Internet Intelligence division (formerly known as Dyn Research), the hacker was able to hijack DNS entries after executing a BGP route hijack that redirected entire swaths of Internet traffic meant for Amazon servers to systems they controlled.
bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/hacker-hijacks-dns-server-of-myetherwallet-to-steal-160-000/

Can someone knowledgeable about networking explain to me why ISPs still use BGP to share routes? Is it a speed thing or just a matter of mass adoption of a new standard? From what little I understand about BGP it's really a supprise to me that attacks like this aren't more common.

There is a lot of crypto fascism in Europe and they feel at least a little uncomfortable about it so they have had to redefine what fascism is. So "fascism" as a word is bad but nepotistic state capitalism where the cigarette paper still cannot get in is somehow good. Much of this relies on keeping the electorate uninformed and uneducated.

Cyberpunk differs in that government are hardly seen and over national organisations do not exist.

What is the point in OP autistically curating his post for months if you're just going to ignore it like a fag

It doesn't say anything about any particular order in which to learn everything, or which programming languages are the best for it.

microcorruption is pretty fun, starts pretty easy and adds a little bit more each level.

What's your alternative?

Posting everything on an embedded .zip (I don't know if Jow Forums still allows it tho).
Actually using those services is not a big deal, but it feels wrong I guess.

Looks like someone got lucky and managed to inject some BGP routes. When admins get lazy and don't properly set up routing maps with expectations of who you're expecting your neighbor is, or use incorrect and unusually open settings on BGP route reflectors, stuff like this happens.

Kinda surprised that the traffic didn't DDoS the receiving site. /22 is a big chunk of internet traffic...

Attached: 11178114width280height280.png (280x280, 34K)

For those here that do programming, what languages do you use most often? What would you recommend someone starting out with to learn?

My initial thought is Python.

Attached: bbc18df.jpg (2100x1713, 649K)

Python as a first language is often said to have a mental castration effect. Just saying.

I used to be an anarchist but then fell into the rabbit hole of clerical fascism

Attached: romanian_iron_guard_flag_by_the_icon_of_sin-d85of0n.jpg (1280x800, 61K)

I started learning to program with python using MITs open courseware. It's 6.0.1 I believe and also on edx.
It's great because you get to make progress quickly however do look into C afterwards if you start with python. Python abstracts alot of stuff away from you which C doesn't, which makes learning C very valuable.

Anarchofascist.

hello guys, not sure if i should ask here but my phone needs google to work properly i mean i cant even save a contact that needs to be saved on my google account.
there is any way to avoid this because i dont trust the "disabble sync" button?

Please elaborate?

I started with assembly, did C later.

What's a fast way to become familiar with python? I'm already well versed in Java and C, I made like two programs in python before so I put it on my resume but I might actually need to know it for a job so I want bring myself up to speed

I've been really interested in working on my personal security and privacy. I've been researching email, password management, alternatives to Google services but I'm struggling to find the best setup.

I decided to start with email since everything seems to be based around email. I tried protonmail but the paid plan is somewhat expensive for me and even though it's not as secure I like having IMAP support, and calendar and contacts. Right now I'm testing out posteo and it seems to work fairly well.

My main goals are to have my accounts compartmentalized and to not have my emails data mined. My biggest problem is figuring out how many addresses/aliases I need to be secure. Right now I have a first name last name address used to log into the account. I can have two free aliases as well. Aliases cannot be used to login to the email account. Currently my thought is to have the base address for personal correspondence, the first alias for financial accounts and bills, and the second alias for online accounts like steam and amazon. This way if the alias email was leaked or read it couldn't be used to log into the email account. But incoming emails would all be in the same inbox. I would use a separate more throwaway account for accounts that I didn't want to be connected to me.

The only things I'm worried about so far are that all of the addresses are linked to the same account and which address would I use to give out to people I don't fully trust or other IRL groups like the government. If they had any of the email addresses so far they could use it to find accounts on other services. Am I thinking too much about this and are there any real risks to this setup if every account has a decent password? Would there be any benefit to multiple accounts rather than aliases in this situation?

How do you separate your accounts and keep your personal addresses private?

Catholic monarchist

And yes, there definitely is

if im just a normal stay at home dude and doesn't really do anything and want some decent security, is following the essentials guide good enough for me?

The issue of immigration is the lie behind, the immigrants are escaping a conflict made by western politicians. Just follow the route of gun providers for radicals on the middle east conflict, like Syria for example where terrorist even get money from the US.

And there is a financial interventionism called neo-liberalism on third world countries where money laundering and crony capitalism work against the poor and in favor of big international companies. Obviously migration is the result, look at NAFTA.

No end in sight for the ugly face of politics.

I cannot agree with your analysis. The mess in Syria is to a large extent a conflict between Sunni and Shia where the Wahabistic Saudi Arabia is ploughing billions into their (Sunni) side of this conflict. At the same time they have admitted exactly zero refugees.

Saudi Arabia and Iran fund "their" groups with vast sums to do their remote operated wars. I cannot see commercial interests are at work here at all since the conflicts cause large scale infrastructural damages which are bad for business.

>Jesus had days like this.
Which jesus? The one on irc

different user, but I found the book, looks okay. How applicable are the skills you learned through the book to things outside of the book? In other words, does it give you knowledge that you have used other than following along in the book? Some books are basically 'tutorials' and don't really give you much in the skills department.

Echipa mortii intensifies.

>There will always be those who are ahead and those who are not.
That raises the question of what happens in a society where you "upgrade" the population using CRISPR/Cas9. Let's say everyone has an IQ greater than 100 of today. Various political parties relying on ignorance would be in trouble, and would politics be that relevant anymore? Perhaps more direct democracy than even practised in Switzerland would be a thing.
