Printers - Why do they exist? Solely to scam people?
Even laser printers have planned obsolescence... Why is this aloud?

Get a job NEET

>Even laser printers have planned obsolescence
How so?

>aloud

>Even laser printers have planned adolescence
Wut?

get a dot matrix printer, fucko

you have to buy a new printer after 10,000 pages on laser printers unless you buy a $10,000 enterprise grade printer

How so?

>unless you buy a $10,000 enterprise grade printer
30 bucks buys you a used enterprise grade printer

nope

That's not a laser printer.

because it's more financially sustainable to make people buy the same shit every year than sell an actual quality product that will last a decade

> confuses a plotter with a regular A4 laserprinter
GAS

Except you don't..
Just buy the cheapest Samsung/Brother laser printer and keep printing forever.

Buy used.
20$ for a PostScript capable laser and I didn't even had to replace the toner.

this used to be a technology board and now this

my printer at home print like 10 pages a month at most for casual use i think its ok

My old Samsung ML-1660 does postscript too - it cost a whole $60 bucks new, ~7 years ago.
It done well over 10,000 pages and and handled 190GSM card like a pro.
>Why would Samsung make a printer that good and sell it for $60 though?
Genuine toner costs $130, that's why - they went the Lexmark route.

Chink toner costs less than $15.

problem is though sometimes new cartilage/ink cost as much as a new printer

just buy third party toner, costs around 20-30$

You can even refill the cartridge yourself with raw toner but I don't know how easy that is

It's pretty easy, but fuck that.
Gotta glove up properly, MASK UP too - toner is a well known carcinogen.
Let the chinks get Cancer, I'll pay $15 on AliExpress.

>toner is a well known carcinogen.
so is potato chips
who gives a fuck

Severity.
Lemon Juice is an Acid.
So it Sulfuric Acid.
Which would you rather be applied to your arm at a 95% concentration?

Toner is actually fucked.
Nothing better though so we keep using it and it's 'fine' if you're just printing and changing a cart.
Filling though - nah, the Chinks can do that.

If you want to do it yourself, by all means, go for it.

Doesn't sound severe to me.
>Carbon black is the main ingredient in copier toner. In 2010, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) concluded that there is inadequate evidence to conclude that carbon black is carcinogenic (cancer causing substance) to humans, but there is sufficient evidence to conclude that carbon black is carcinogenic to experimental animals. Consequently IARC classified carbon black as possibly carcinogenic to humans.

Obviously inhaling tiny plastic particles isn't healthy for other reasons though

>Toner is actually fucked.
Of course it sound dangerous, they've been downplaying it for years.
It's quite literally asbestos all over again.

Try cooking, instead of eating KFC every night NEET

>drops ipad in cooking oil while reading recipe

>Why is this aloud?
because it's a bunch of stepper motors in them, they're not typically very quiet

Buy an epson ecotank poorfag

Enjoy it been dried out when you want to print

>companies should never be allowed to make any money

>not understanding companies can do that without making self-terminating trash

inkjet LOL

My HP LaserJetPro MFP 225dn has held up well, no issues ever. I like it.

Sometimes ya just gotta print sh*t

Why are printers still so shit god damn. The one at my work jams up like every week even after they got it serviced

Generic Kyocera have 100.000 resource

I've been using the same $200 Samsung laser printer for 15 years and I print 150 pages every week.
Sounds like you don't take care of your shit like you're supposed to.

printers fucking suck dick
i got an epson 1430 and a CISS so i dont have to buy tons of cartiridges for art prints
did like 10 or so prints, now the thing locks up and makes a grinding noise
ive tried to look up solutions on how to fix it and a lot of forums say how i need to reset the ink waste counter
but you can only to that once with a program and then you cant do it anymore unless you buy a new printer
300$~ down the drain

>2018
>Not going paperless

so what are the current best printers to buy?
I've been looking at the SC P400 for a while but only heard bad things about any printer made post 2007

>OP doesn't know you're supposed to change the ink and just buys a new printer every time he runs out
