What's his endgame? Will he join VIA next?

Hmmm...

why is he not reviving via?
reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

HOLY FUCK

>Keller is an Anglicized version of the Old Irish surname Ó Céilechair (meaning descendant of Céilechair).
Come on now.

Damn

Wtf men I don't know what am I supposed to feel

Yo what the fuck
>mfw Intel releases glue in 5 years

Depending on how good the Ryzen 2 will be, is how much keller will be useful.
Intel will want to hit hard back, really hard.

>intel needs AMD engineer to beat AMD
oy vey

Mommy will fix it.

So Intel's next CPU core won't be here until 2023? Lmao, AMD is gonna squash them by that.

Also Keller didn't design Zen, Suzane Plumber and Clark did.

JIM KELLER
JEM KILLER
JEW KILLER
>joins Intel

Attached: confused Sachiko on Thinkpad.png (483x487, 196K)

I hope he going to make somethinf really, really good, because the moment intel releases something actually better with their fuckhuge r&d budget instead of muh 1% higher fps in vidyas it will kill any chance if amd being competitive and we are going back to eating what intel released to kill amd for 10 years.

>Intel releases the AMD killer
>Keller leaves Intel for AMD
>AMD responds on par some 4 or 5 years later
>Keller leaves AMD for Intel
>the cycle continues

Top 10 anime betrayals

getting 10% increase after intel + smeltdown is no big deal.

why not join ARM?
every one will benefit.

What I wrote in the other thread
>Honestly, if with intel's money he spawns something that's significantly better than whatever intel has on mind, I won't even be mad as an AMD supporter. We could use some performance leap rather than those small improvements, regardless of which side it comes from.

Fuck you all, RISC-V masterrace soon.
x86 is legacy.

meme ISA

>it is the year 2120, the decepitcons have won the great war, the headmasters are all dead, Jim Keller has slained RISC-V on Cybertron.

Attached: tenor.png (500x500, 324K)

Via is doing just fine, on internal chinese market, with a billion of potential customers, and growing. They make their own x86-64 CPUs that probably can be only bought in mainland china.

>you've just discovered The Keller Cycle
Nobel Prize is coming your way dawg

And you FUCKING BRAINLET dare to fucking call it a meme.
Here's your (You) though.

He's not immortal, he will probably retire after first iteration

>He's not immortal
>implying

Intel’s new strategy to beat AMD: buy all of their staff

So Intel just confirmed that it has no idea what to do until their new nextgen architecture comes about?

What in the fuck? AMD has like 60 times less money than you! How can you let this happen

>He's not immortal
And what's your proof on that?

Attached: proveit.png (1187x846, 26K)

Do you guys think he was blackmailed?

>AMD has like 60 times less money than you! How can you let this happen
The Core architecture originates in Israel. Does it answer your question?

No.

Makes sense though

>The future of x86 will be Jim Keller vs Jim Keller

Attached: 1384557797617.png (5000x2571, 124K)

The entire consumer pc cpu market is Jim Keller. They should rename the arch to jimk-64

there's no where left to go after this iteration.
7nm is the (current) hard limit for silicon

>So Intel just confirmed that it has no idea what to do until their new nextgen architecture comes about?

>intel
>creating new architecture
AHAHAHAHAHAH this is gonna be so good

Apple's CPUs are also Jim Keller

It's also pretty amusing looking at Inteltards praying to heaven when it's known Zen's lead architect was Mike Clark, not Jim Keller.

SHUT UP WE'RE DEFINITELY NOT DESPERATE

Attached: 1502493068214.jpg (682x787, 136K)

I don't care who's throwing money at Jim Keller as long as he's working on improving things I can buy in the future.

On the other hand they can refine the hell out of that node, it might be surprising what can of improvements can be done if they stay on a single node for a while longer than usually.

Also it'll force them to do some actuall architectural improvements rather than hoping for the next node to come and save them.

What's with those white named? When will a Farnham Goldstein or noble Priyansh make a new CPU?

Jim was working on it for quite a while though, noone really knows what portion of Zen success is his success...

intel is going to have to give up the fabs, they have no way to beat amd even with keller as the time that they will have a cpu from him, amd will be several gens in with 7nm at the very least, and a highly revined 7nm.

its going to be interesting, as intel bassily confirmed they have no talent when they hired keller, meaning the entire design team is fucking worthless.

is Jim Keller flying moe ?

Attached: vlcsnap-00209.jpg (720x540, 38K)

>another day
>another episode of intel throwing money at someone to try and solve the problem
lmao
i hope they get another raja fuckup with this, i know there were other people behind the most recent architecture besides him, im just not sure on how competent they might be [without him]

Yes we know, he was in charge of team management and de facto in charge of K12.

Zen's design is solely thanks to Clark and Plumber, the whole IF thing is a offshot of HT which Keller practically made 13 years ago, but with extra Seamicro sauce AMD acquired a while ago.

All in all I'm hearing Keller's role is more administrative nowadays, which is fine because you need good leadership and coordination to make a good CPU.

NO IT CAN'T BE. THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE

Attached: 1517843017074.png (280x291, 88K)

So fucking what? You don't need new process to improve architecture.

Anyone has the pasta of Jim Keller as John Wick?

>yfw the keller joins intel only to help them integrate vega into the next shitlake cpu

>Built from the ground-up with lessons learned from years of experience with other ISAs
>yet somehow is fundamentally the same design
If you're gonna start from scratch don't go for 20% gains, that's just retarded.
>b-but there's no better designs
Mill

Even Intel's R&D can't pump out a completely new uArch in less than 4 years. If Keller is indeed at Intel for that purpose, it's gonna take a while to see anything come out of it.
I find it more likely that he's at Intel for GPUs. He just finished working on self-driving car AI for Tesla, which is heavy graphical computing. We know Intel is wanting to branch into the GPU market, especially with self-driving meme starting to get huge, which will need special dedicated hardware.

This all points to him going over to help Intel develop solutions for that market, as opposed to a new CPU uArch. Intel's surely already working on that, and they don't need him to join late. I might be wrong, but hey, it's my best semi-educated guess.

kek

Someday Jim will upload his consciousness into a chip and turn himself into a Skynet-like AI.

Based Keller is going to jew the kikes. Intel let in a 3th pillar who is going to bring them down from the inside.

Yeah I think people are making a bigger deal out of this than it is. He had a lot to do with their success, that's true, but now? The people most responsible for AMDs current success are still there and still working on the next thing. Intel is just building a roster for future work. Nothing wrong with that but it's not that big of a deal. It's not like their GPUs have suddenly become 580 or 1060 level since they stole the last guy from AMD.

This, both Samsung and TSMC are already ahead of Intel, they simply have A LOT more money to throw at R&D than Intel will EVER have. Their future is grim.

He's a good manager, something that Intel direly lacks after they replaced everyone with H1B pajeets.
That's kinda the point of Intel poaching him.

>which is fine because you need good leadership and coordination to make a good CPU
This is lacking everywhere. The whole fucking tech industry is leaders are fucked currently.

>3th
thanks for the input, poojeet

What a twist.

He already did. What you're seeing is a cybernetic organism covered under a layer of living tissue.

IS JIM KELLER THE GREATEST CHESSMASTER?

>currytech
Why isn't this an autosage?

being this delusional

>implying RISC is good for memory bandwidth
Programmable scratch microcode is where it's at.

>implying he didn't unroll and speculatively pre-execute these iterations already and moved on

>TSMC is building 3nm fabs and they'll be ready by 2022
>Samsung is already on 10nm, 7nm by 2019
>Intel still shitting the bed with 10nm
>NONONO YOU'RE DELUSIONAL

Nice grammar raja shekelstein.

I thought Keller fucking hated Intel for their Jew practices against him before at AMD with K6?

the difference between riscv and reality is the same as blue origin and space x

inb4 Jow Forumsamd mutts try to assassinate Keller for betraying their shit company
they're mudslime level of brainwashing and fanaticism

he's not leaving AMD you fucking retard

Keller left AMD for Tesla 2 years ago, retarded amdrone.

o-okay hehe
he...
Suzanne Plummer is a design director you retard. She's basically a glorified middle manager + pm

THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE

He's either spying on them or was blackmailed

keller reached god-engineer level.
he will now join intel so intel will again win against amd. he will fuck off for some years and then after 5-6 years he will join amd to save it again. Rinse and repeat.

Until he dies...

So a certified white guy designed Zen?

indubitably

ahahaha AMD about to get blown the fuck out again

Will he join Koduri on parallel processing or will they stick him on x86?

never bet against keller, this new core will drop legacy x86 leftover baggage
