affordable cards are always a good thing

Yes goy, gobble up that 1050 Ti for a 1060's MSRP

OHHH HA HA HA HA

>any card after 2016 price in 2018
go fuck yourself, crypto ruined cards, get over it

I still remember buying my Fury in Aug'16 for 350. A week later kikegg had it on sale for 300
JUST

and i bought my 7950s 6 years ago for 250 each, take what you can get

Attached: 1467959900885.gif (360x360, 955K)

I really wish I'd picked up another Fury when they went down to 250. But I would have needed a new PSU to x-fire them anyways. And make use of my 1440p 144Hz
Why oh why

I'm still happy with my meme-edition GTX 970. Pretty much have to. Ass-nickel fags have effectively ruined the video card market.

Honestly with the shitty games out today, you're still fine with something along the lines of a GTX 750 Ti.

yeah, i remember rx 580s being about 350 a while ago to replace said 7950s, now im waiting for them to die. if i could have one wish, it would be for cryptocurrency to have never been a thing.

I laugh every day crypto drops further, and with every major hack. There's actually an operation in my town that uses more electricity than the paper mill and has caused some people's rates to nearly double

1050ti is inferior to my 380X which was midrange 5 years ago

Probably. Isn't the only advantage having newer shaders and such? Efficiency aside

Crypto whores have ruined technology permanently.

Although it's more of a moratorium on any new large-scale mines being set up

I bought my 1080 last summer for the best price it's been.
There was cards unser MSRP at BF.

You are just poorfags who don't have the money to buy cards when the price is right.

furthermore, miners are keeping AMD on life support, while gayyymurs all buy novideo.

If you think this is bad, it's not. Not compared to what we'd get if amd didn't exist. No competition, no progress.

Yeah but aside from the Ti, there haven't been any new Novideo cards for 2 years. Still waiting for AMD to clap back

I'm pretty happy I got my rx480 before the price hikes, but now I'm starting to see the age of the card a little. It's making me want to get a better gpu but these prices are like watching the bond markets. Somewhat High and mostly static for long periods of time

wtf man kinda. my xfx fury in jan 2017 was 280, whereas the nitro vers was like 250. was a better deal than the similarly priced 480's.

Miners are the reason prices are so high.
Monopoly Nvidia without miners is better for the consumer than duopoly with miners.

>I laugh every day crypto drops further

it has actually recovered in the last two weeks, btc is up almost +50%
Naturally, people are starting to buy GPUs again...

I wish AYYMD manages to release a gpu equivalent of Ryzen early next year #teamwaitfornavi

>release a gpu equivalent of Ryzen

Overhyped, overshilled and inferior to competitor's product? Completely outclassed by a new gen of competitor's GPU after a few months? Because that was what has happened with Memezen.

>memezen

Attached: 1497020071620.png (633x900, 162K)

Ryzen was and still is extremely competitive considering price/performance.

I just want a cool and power efficient 250€ gpu that runs 1440p well enough.

It’s called a correction. When shit drops, it drops further than warranted, which causes people to buy in on the dip, bringing the value back up. It takes time for markets to level out, but at the very least Eth is on an overall decline. BTC is too volatile to comment on.

Where’s the paper mill at bruv

MSRP is for the reference edition faggot.

Attached: download.jpg (257x196, 9K)

only in the shortterm. if nvidia doesnt have competition, they will just milk every new arch like intel did. 5% performance increase per year.

>fine with a 750ti
My old poverty rig is an fx8350 and a heavily overclocked 750ti. Plays witcher 3 on med-high at 30+ fps all day long.
Does great on DOOM as well, but everything does great on DOOM.

it hurts pls stop

1060 3gb is $200 where i live.

I purchased Vega 56 for £380 delivered. Flashed to 64 vBIOS and undervolted to 820mV for a nice boost. Literally kicking the 1070 and closing the gap to 1080.

>mfw actually got my 1080 two days before the black friday """sales""" for $100 less than MSRP (actually closer to $180, without the rebates even, if you factor in the newegg giftcard jewish tricks)

Why you people upset by the GPU prices? Aren't you bought them in a right time just a little over msrp and then mined on them to get even just in one month and then got huge gains? Like are you really retarded for real not to do so?

they're all used GPUs faggot

>tfw it's still overpriced as fuck in France.

oh why.png

>Aren't you bought them

seriously though , when will the prices go down or stabilize ?
will they ever do so ?
i've been running on my intel HD 630 for 7 months now.

>Threadripper Ryzen
>Overpriced

Under 1000 bucks and still BTFO every Intel chip that isn't i9 or Xeon and even some of the Xeon chips struggle to keep up with it.

Why would they lower? People are content with buying over msrp.

are they ??
that's fucking ridiculous.
should i buy at the next sale then if the prices will never go down ?

>no-coiner coping

Attached: 2f7.jpg (601x508, 94K)

>tfw 980ti died on me and I bought a 1080 just before the boom
thank you for not holding on another two months, 980ti

Attached: sweating.jpg (300x300, 15K)

I take it you are in up state NY?

I got a new 1080 last summer for $400. Based.

I sold my 480 last summer for a 1080.

>bought a 1080 for the price of a 1080 + 980ti

They can't keep getting away with it!

CUT OFF THE HANDS OF CRYPTONIGGERS
BEHOLD THE NEW CHRIST
OBEY ME

560/1050s aren't that much over MRSP, i'd just bite the 30 dollar bullet and get one of those

>mfw I bought a 7950 for under $200 a week before the mining boom happened back in 2013

Attached: 1458032620293.jpg (854x802, 57K)

What? I didn't hear about this.. looks like AMD does it again!

Why would it make other peoples rates double?

That's nothing nigga, I upgraded from a 380 to a 480 for less than MSRP right before the 580 launched, then sold the 380 after the mining boom for basically what i payed for my 480 8gb to a miningnigga.

>implying it's constitutional to ban what someone does with products they own

>linking theverge with no archive

>deal
>1050ti
>$80 more expensive than my gtx 1060
>people are calling this "affordable"

Is this what retardism is? Paying more than the sucker price(msrp)?

I keep fantasizing about robbing a computer store to steal some GPUs and DDR4 RAM. Goddammit.

The only place that's a deal would be Australia / New Zealand.
What the fuck guys

>down over 50%
>it has recovered bro lol
