I'm not sure to what extent, but they partnered with some ad company, they have some suspicious subscription or purchase model. I think the installer for it has a bunch of tack on shit as well.

Off the top of my head WinCDEmu is the best bet for Windows 7. I think thats an open source project with a decent reputation.

99% of the time wincdemu is your best bet if you're not running a version of wangblows that has native image mounting.

Modern OSes comes with this feature preinstalled user. If you still need a fumctional free ISO reader/editor, PowerISO gets the job done (Last time I used it was in 2014 though, for all I know it could be botnet now)
