>hold on I gotta reboot onto windows to do that
>wait there is no software equivalent I need to boot up windows
>it was never designed for games, let me boot up windows
>yea I know but there's no driver yet, let me boot up windows
>sorry guys I can't come, I need to compile a kernel
>I think it's stable now so no I won't do anything anymore with it I don't want to mess it up
Living the lincuck life
yeet fresh
>>rebooting linux
>>no drivers
things that don't happen
>>rebooting linux to run windows
>what are VMs
>>compiling kernels
mostly devs do that
>>I think it's stable now so no I won't do anything anymore with it I don't want to mess it up
you know, google exists, and also most stuff is open source, so you can fix most things by yourself if you can use google or, in the most extreme cases, you can modify the source code if have some basic knowledge of programming
btw: sage goes in most fields
>>no drivers
>>things that don't happen
bait
>no drivers maymay
Never experienced this with Linux.
sure, drivers for very new hardware usually sucks, but no drivers != terrible drivers.
also, things are improving quickly
RIP in peas, MiniMikeMeyers.
your experience doesn't matter as you literally don't use anything that can't be found at walmart
>hold on I gotta reboot onto windows to do that
That's what virtual machines are for, you pleb.
>dual booting
>2018
LMAO (laughing my ass off)
>I have a standard 5 year old HHD and a intel onboard vga chipset and a 16 bit sound card
>having to have 2 monitors and gpus in order to play windows games
literally why
lookingglass fixes this. You now only need one monitor
so you still need to:
>have 2 gpus
>run windows
>have near-native (but not really) performance
when you just can not use windows at all?
tell that to windows exclusive developers
>run windows
vidya on linux is bad desu
How is this done? I have a laptop connected to an egpu. Can i allocate resources to specific gpus?
The whole reason I own the system I do is because of muh gaymes.
I'd love to use Linux exclusively, but sadly developers insist on developing for windows.
>use windows
>have to google search for software because no package manager
>"installation complete please restart your computer"
>computer takes literally 20 minutes to reboot because it updated and you can't use your computer while updating
>you realize you now have a bunch of malware and toolbars installed because you forgot to uncheck a box while installing a program
GPU passthrough in a virtual machine. I don't know exactly how you do it, or if it works with an eGPU, though.
>making things this easy
user YOU DONT UNDERSTAND
