luckily that's not how the burden of proof works

My 1600x is better

By Intel.

WRONG

Test

6600 is actually the legendary cpu right after the legendary 80386

It's not even the best CPU in its own product line. In fact, if anything it's a badge of retardation worn by people who insisted that "games don't use Hyperthreading!!!" and so buying the 2600K was pointless.

my Q8200 beats your Q6600

Wrong.

duh

t. upset because he bought a 2600K and was pissed to find it wasn't any better than his 2500K

This.
Q6600 forever.

Still using it.

Enjoying your 144p YouTube videos and 5fps fortnite?

X58 Xeons really tickle my pickle.

It's not Sandy Bridge but I'm still using it 9 years later. I even dropped it and bent the pins back with a knife.

My Phenom II brother
Unfortunately I'm going to cave and buy a 2600X soon, I couldn't play FC5 because the instruction set doesn't support the latest version of Denuvo or some retarded shit and it looks like the trend is going to continue.

Wish I could have gotten an 1100T but its too late now

I remember upgrading to one of these from my first PC after ditching my Amiga, which was some Cyrix 233Mhz effort. First time I was fucking blown away by a leap in performance.

Cute! CUTE!

I always wondered how people managed to crack the dies on these.

I had the +2000XP.

Seeing that one brings back so many memories..

>4c4t
No thanks, 2600k was better

No thanks, I don't really want to have to buy a 1kw power supply for just a CPU

>4.5Ghz overclocked 2500k less 0.1% minimums than a stock 8370
ahahahaha. This was predicted but no one listened.

did you get lost going to elementary school

Pretty much everyone OC's the 2nd Gen K series chips. Your chart is an embarrassment to yourself.

>4.5 2500k less frames than a bone stock 2600k
jesus what a shit chip, anyone too cheap to shell out for a 2600k should probably just kill themselves for such poor judgment.

>Costa Rica
heh nice try

The Q6600 holds up surprisingly well.
My Q8200 is pretty much the same performance and it can do quite a lot of things, and it is not an absolute overclock beast like the Q6600 is.

>the best CPU is consumer shit you can buy off the shelf
Ok kid.

literally what

Gimped by the absence HT (found the gamer).
IGP too bad.

Running a 1055 t but i'm terrified of overclocking it

The 8350k is cheaper

>quad core without HT
Why not just kill yourself?

my nigger. Waiting till 7nm ryzens are out to upgrade. 24 hour a day 4.2ghz overclock for years and still handles every game I throw at it.

greetings fellow redditors but id like to excuse you and show off my e5450

>4.2GHz overclock
Is that supposed to be impressive? A 1st stepping 2500k can hit 5GHz no problem.

>A 1st stepping 2500k can hit 5GHz no problem.
LOL

that's my horse

sexy

kept my 955 till zen came out, jumped on a 1700, and god is it so much nice to see 1% cpu use then a constant 25-50%

Muh nigga

underrated

nice overclock. what motherboard?

My dual X5690 workstation tower makes for a good VM host, though.

>Core 2 nostalgia
I wish I still had my QX6850, it was the first desktop I ever built.
Bought a case off of craigslist, and the guy threw in the CPU because he was upgrading to a first gen i7

Step aside kid, you're in presence of royalty now.

no shit, you need an EVGA SR-2 if you're gonna run with X5650's. should get dual X5690's or overclock a single X5650 in a X58 board if you want dat performance.

*hobbles into ur path*

Attached: old fuck.png (230x195, 87K)

Can't really prove you wrong OP, until I very recently built a new PC, I used that thing for almost a fucking decade and it could still run pretty much everything I threw at it.

Upgrade already you piece of shit.

Sparc or gtfo

Alpha all the way, bitch.

Sparc is some shitty m68k wannabe bullshit, a knock off of a knock off of a PDP-11

It was amazing, but just ordered a E5-2680 + MB and 32GB ECC, cos games and software are moving to more cores and threads over single core speed.

More like gets wheeled out wheezing and coughing into your path.

What are you smoking faggot.

with my ryzen 1700, waiting for 7nm refresh. 4th gen Zen.

I have one just under that and it works extremely well for free.

based

So glad I went with i7 2700K.

This is not the Ryzen 1700

This. Tho you'd have to upgrade to it from a quad imo, they were expensive as FUCK when they were current.

I'll run my x5660/rampage 3 combo as long as it works, I literally won't need more cpu power for years down the line.

Why? What motherboard and cooling do you have?

Attached: spcy.jpg (674x532, 109K)

hey retard, POWER and PowerPC are different things

Attached: 1486430660543.jpg (1000x1502, 256K)

iirc there are modded bioses for supermicro boards on biosmods that give you some freedom with fsb overclocking

Reading this thread I feel like a piece of shit for having a Q9450 and not overclocking it

Nice.

Board and ram are you running?

Heh, the improvement came well before that with the i7 920. The 2500k was just a "3-4 years later..." thing when the plebs finally caught on.

>You cannot prove me wrong.

do you want more?

2600k existed, so no it aint.

How can everyone on Jow Forums be so wrong?

Hello fellow 1600X fag.

cheapo msi board and 6 random non-matching 2gb sticks

Those were great for late 2004-2005 when they came out, but man they quicly ran out of steam.

They overclocked very poorly and the 512kb cache also didn't help.

I had a x2 4400+ 2.2ghz (2.6ghz oc'd) from late 2005 to early 2006, then a Opteron 175 2.2ghz overclocked to 3.2ghz from early 2006 to late 2009.

The 939 dualcore Opterons fucking rocked.
