WHITESPACE SYNTAX REEEEEEEEEEEEEE

WHY IN THE EVERLOVING NAME OF FUCK IS WHITESPACE SYNTAX A THING
I SPENT HOURS TRYING TO FIX A PROBLEM ALL OVER A FUCKING WHITESPACE ERROR
YOU'RE NOT EVEN ALLOWED TO FORMAT YOUR OWN CODE, HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO MAKE A READABLE FUCKING PROGRAM
GOD DAMN PYTHONIGGERS WILL DEFEND THIS

I've rejected jobs for having even a tiny part coding in python.

God fucking bless you user.

>He doesn't know how to indent properly

Python indentation is literally the same as any other language's curly brackets.

um sweatie there's no "proper" way to indent :) to each his own!

Everyone in this thread probably would defend BASH

sh is in a different league IMO. The places where whitespace is significant are more side effects of the slapdash nature of a shell language than intentional design choices as in Python.

But I also don't find Python's significant whitespace all that terrible like others ITT.

You're supposed to use a text editor with visible whitespace (usually solid lines for tabs and faded dots for leading spaces).

Whitespace syntax is a meme.

Syntax should be defined by the presence of something not by the absence of something. FFS

Also
>private variables don't exist in python classes
What the actual fuck

Private variables are more by convention in python than anything else

you'd prefix private vars with an underscore, _load() and so on

nothing particularly noteworthy about it

What language do you prefer?

Not him but C and Perl are probably my favorite languages.

Guess why no language after python has adopted whitespace syntax..

because they chose to use curly brackets or and `end` statement?

All valid choices

you rock user

A learned gentleman of class and fine taste.

Yeah python is the worst language to debug

Nice

could you imagine being so dumb that python syntax is too hard for you?

i have never had an issue with python syntax, i started on C and have good code practice , if you have good coding practice you have no issue with python formatting ever
end of discussion
if you are a bad programmer who makes unreadable shit you will hate python

I've actually said specifically that I never want to touch a line of Python as part of my work.

A God among men.

Scripting languages does not have a compiler.
Instead you use a linter.
You can skip this step if you know what you are doing, but most people who program in python doesn't.

1) you are a newbie programmer who doesn't understand shit and you're buttfrustrated because you're too stupid to follow along a youtube tutorial

2) you have job and a python project got dumped on you, in which case, why the fuck don't you have an IDE? are you a pajeet?

It literally tells you the exact line of the syntax error. How dumb can you be?

>Syntax should be defined by the presence of something not by the absence of something.
U+0020 is something, though.

We had an accident at work where a robot arm nearly slapped an old man because of a whitespace character ending a code block incorrectly and abruptly ending a state checking loop..
> tfw Based OP is right

>visible whitespace
said, no doubt, unironically

>i started on C and have good code practice
Imagine being this defensive even in an anonymous Chihuahua Neutering forum.
Pajeet, shit thyself
