This thread is about the appreciation of horology, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that are required to make a fine watch, clock, or other timepiece.
Nigga literally posted a couple of ads and you are already sperging out. What the hell are you even doing in /wt/, let alone Jow Forums, if you are this fucking sensitive.
I tried to take some time-lag see video of my 1/100 second stopwatch. The timelapse was set for once every three seconds, which should have made the 1/100 hand stationary (and thus could be used to regulate the stop watch). Unfortunately I tried a few apps and this was as close as I got; it seems taking a picture _exactly_ every three seconds isn't something most time lapse apps can do. Citizen quartz that runs better than 1spd included for reference.
>The first thing I consider when buying a watch is the celebrities who represent it in advertisements. Why yes, I do spend my time willingly seeking out ads
OP, (You), all the other pathetic faggots that have nothing better to do with their time than permatrolling /wt/.
Michael Sanchez
>OP, (You), all the other pathetic faggots that have nothing better to do with their time than permatrolling /wt/. >anyone talking about a watch I don't personally like is trolling
Already fixed, which makes me realize this is probably the second smoothest screw-down crown of any of my watches.
But also, why does the logo on screw down crowns never line up right side up? It bugs me a little bit especially now that someone pointed out that the Prospex logo is actually an overlapping S and P and I can't unsee it.
>Because it shows how the people behind the brand think. Why does this matter? Isn't the watch itself a pretty good indicator of a creator's thought process? Why do you give a shit about how it's marketed unless you're focused on wearing a brand instead of wearing a watch?
Jason Myers
So they use pretty much the original font while rolex uses more square numbers now. Which is better?
Ryder Howard
>explain branding to me No.
>Why does this matter? Nothing matters. Whoa.
Ryder Cox
GJ dodging it all. Deciding against wearing a watch because of the way it's marketed really does show you put more stock in what other people think of it than what you yourself think. You look at watches as a fashion accessory.
Get off my Jow Forums you fraud.
Austin White
There's a reason Rolex gets to ask so much and keeps its value so well: its brand. What planet are you even from?
Austin Williams
"pls debate me and pay attention to me": the post.
>Get off my Jow Forums Cringe.
Dominic Rodriguez
>You look at watches as a fashion accessory. Pretty sure Tudor does that when they use Gaga as their face.
got my f91w today. plan on using it while lifting, camping, and hiking, etc.
my god is it ever comfortable.
Isaac Morales
Don't bother. You're just feeding one of the permatrolls (You)s.
Matthew Young
>Deciding against wearing a watch because of the way it's marketed really does show you put more stock in what other people think of it than what you yourself think What if I don't like the marketing?
Jackson Sanders
>Remember to put it on the nato first. Always, I have to so I can wear it the stock band is too short, ha. In fact i think ill get a new 18mm nato
Someone talk to me about vintage omega Calibre 601 and 613s.
Hunter Morales
>I base my opinion of others off what operating system they use and the manufacturer of their computer or cell phone >but if you care about what brand of watch you wear you are a soya-drinking numale
hmmm
Landon Myers
Why did you post that pic?

technologically inept people who blame inanimate objects for society's ills are worse than any particular race or group of people on this planet.
I know it took me until I was in high school before I could actually read an analog clock face at a glance, and if I'm half asleep it may take me a bit of staring to realize what it's trying to say.

>I know it took me until I was in high school before I could actually read an analog clock face at a glance, and if I'm half asleep it may take me a bit of staring to realize what it's trying to say. Jesus, I'll bin the idea of getting an w86 or f105w for my nephew and get him a pope watch instead.
