What alternatives do I have now that QuickPic has turned into shit?

Still bumbed since it was my replacement for ES way back.

I haven't used android in over 2 years and it was already shit back then. Why the fuck are you people so behind?

Just take a look at the issues tab on its github, I've reported shit until november/2017 and he fixed barely anything. He even got to the point of closing a bunch of reports saying shit like "I'll try to improve", "I'm working on this", so I just jumped the ship and installed QuickPic again since it just works (I haven't really noticed any bug) and does everything I want.

What fucking bugs are you talking about? Other than the "frequently unable to zoom" bug I haven't experienced anything wrong with the app.

All I remember of is this zoom one, rotating pics not working sometimes, action bar acting weird, back button stopping working randomly, some images have really bad quality after zooming in, etc. I always reported if I didn't saw a open report on the issues tracker, but then I got tired of this and just got quickpic.

simple gallery (f-droid) is what i use now

Don't forget slowdowns, for some reason some images slows everything down even on flagships and he just doesn't know why.

Camera Roll on f-droid. Unlike Simple Gallery it isn't ugly.

I just use ghost commander on F-Droid
has smtp, ftp, dual pane, multi file browsing, thumbnails, viewer of any file etc

It's still happening. Fuck, I wanted to use it since it's the only gallery app besides QuickPic that looks actually good.

Dunno, for me it's the faster gallery. Quickpic takes way longer to open large photos, it takes like 5 seconds before it shows full res picture instead of a preview.
