This thread is about the appreciation of horology, as well as the micro-engineering and materials engineering that are required to make a fine watch, clock, or other timepiece.
You bought slavshit, what did you expect? Go get it serviced if you want it fixed, it probably hasn't been opened in years. Keep in mind that it will probably cost you more than you paid for it to begin with if you live in a developed nation.
I don't get it. What is this butt ugly Casio spammer hoping to accomplish?
Andrew Ortiz
user i though that you guys where over consumer shit and actual hobbyist that understand about movements and how to service them. Im aware that if you go to a watch shop they will repair it, that's like pointing out that the sky is blue, okay so what? we established this point decades ago... now shut up and let the real professionals speak.
Wyatt Wood
Yes I have seen it, interesting watch.
Cameron Allen
Are you 12? What the fuck information do you want then? Your shit is broke, fix it or don't, we don't fucking care.
This is the state of /wt/. Slavshit is bad because commies, not swiss or jap, assembled by drunk slavs, m'kay? Throw it in the trash where it belong and get a swiss shitter or spend thousands for /wt/ acceptance. Slavshit. Very nice tuna, I like it on waffle strap. Is it uncle seiko?
Slavshit is called slavshit for a reason. Sure, there's plenty of decent and even good slavshit, but the average slavshit shitter from eBay probably hasn't seen a service in decades.
Xavier Campbell
It's simple desu. Most of us have never even seen or used a 3rd world watch so this is the wrong board to ask about one.
3rd world watches are fun though. I recommend getting one. >new >implying I'd snatch one right away if I saw one in okay condition. He has autism is all.
Evan Hughes
I have one, but I'm not going to be shocked and take to the internet when it fails.
You didn't even describe the issue in enough detail or clearly enough for one of the watchmakers that post here to understand what exactly the issue you are having is, or how it might be fixed.
Also, you may have to wait a few hours for them to stop by /wt/ and see your posts.
Hunter Watson
Well, this is a watch thread. Can't blame him for expecting something.
Jonathan Rivera
The Soviet Union is dead, NATO is not, now there are only First and Third world countries, there is no Second world
Jonathan Harris
Shoutout to the finance user who gave me advice in the last thread, just opened a TFSA.
Is it bad that I want this Omega? I told myself I'd never buy modern Omega but this is nice.
What exactly are we able to provide him other than "Go get it fixed"?
Oliver Cooper
>we ye keep hiding the fact that you have 0 fucks about watches buypig
Noah Russell
Looks horrid to me, but buy what you like.
Grayson Watson
As long as you make sure you go handle it in person first and you are prepared to pay Omega's servicing prices every time it needs a service, its fine I guess.
Tyler Phillips
>ye keep hiding the fact that you have 0 fucks about watches buypig Learn English before you attempt to insult strangers on the internet in English.
An idea about which component related to date switching might be broken, I guess?
Hudson Parker
This is clearly not the thread for you.
Jaxon Wright
Okay but explain the problem better. Is it failing to change the date overnight while the watch is running? Does it not change at all, or does it change partially and stop?
Asher Torres
Please post beautiful blue dials and moon phases
Christian Edwards
You are clearly an idiot.
Joshua Sullivan
The navy sunburst on this dial is gorgeous in person.
yes a pre 1991 watch that says that would be 2nd world
Samuel Collins
Yes it's uncle seiko, it's a pretty nice strap and less bulky than the stock one. Also reminds me of the SLA017 I should've bought when they were available.
I care about what others think in the way that I would like for me to have a pretty good view of me if I ever came across myself. The clothes make the man, all that.
I have to wear my strapcode oyster like this. They won’t send me individual links, is it worth it to buy yet another bracelet just to make this fit properly?
Still waiting for the VC and JLC catalogs, already 2 weeks since I ordered, the Sinn one arrived in less than a week
Carson Richardson
>Nobody cared who I was until I put on the Solar Seiko "If I take that off, will you die?" >It would be extremely tasteless "You're a big guy" >UUUU
Camden Butler
I am waiting on JLC only. The VC one so far is the least impressive of the Nomos, Lange, and Sinn. Hoping for big things from JLC.

The Accurist celestial is available on Amazon right now for $280 and has a working sidereal time star dial. Quartz. At least two wt regulars own one. I don't know if it's "nice" but it's certainly fine.
