also NaSC if you use GNU/Linux
I personally use gnucash
granny is a waste of space who shouldn't be allowed to touch computers
There is no really good / intuitive calculator for
Linux. I just use my Casio for any serious (i.e. more than basic arithmetics) calculations. Or Wolfram Alpha.
speedcrunch, R, and julia aren't enough for you?
my grampa did everything with excel.
Grandmas own physical calculators and have them on their neatly organized desks. OP is a faggot.
>NaSC
That actually looks good.
speedcrunch really needs to release an android version
Just use a Python shell
bc or an R REPL
CLI calculators??
but the CL is a calculator???
I just hit winkey+r and type calc. I'll go with whatever that gets me.

Use "r" - it's a scripting front end for using R in the command line

Arity (mod) is a decent alternative.

She's a power user, most grandmas would print at best. Same goes for a calculator, she'll use a physical one.
Also, Chrome can be installed.
GNU Calculator
Typing a + takes as long as typing a space, plus you don't need to type the brackets and the + at the beginning
My granny would've used a terminal, but that's probably because she was very computer literate. She programmed with fucking punch cards, and never gave up on computers until the day she died in 1998. She ran slackware and made fun of me for running red hat back in 1996 before she got sick. I miss her.
my granmommy runs gentoo and uses R as a calculator
she made fun of me for using arch :c
I installed Linux Mint in an old laptop for my parents 4 months ago. I added desktop shortcuts for firefox, MS office (WINE), spotify and other software and renamed them "Internet", "Word", "Music", "calculator", etc. so they wouldn't get lost in menus and so on. I also moved programs they don't normally use (like the package manager) to a submenu called "don't touch". 0 complains after that.
Just give normalfags a direct access to their shit and they will be fine.
This desu.
She'd use the one sitting my /by the lamp on the desk
The concept is the same: use a proper programming language that has a good REPL.
Tell granny to use the python interpreter as a calculator. Quick and easy
You DON'T thread yourself fucktard.
>but /thread
granny is old enough to remember using HP brick 4-functions with RPN input, so none of those shitty newfangled calculators you posted
