I enjoy it. We have a neat automated system set up. I'd do it for free if I didn't need money and they were using GNU/Linux.
Brayden Lopez
Hookers do, hookers definitively do.
Robert Jones
Well then your users are clearly more competent, and your setup more pristine than ours is. We have constant fuck-ups in compatibility, and system configurations. Thank Christ I get to blame all that on the techies...
Hudson Davis
There is always that one user with the esoteric program that can't even be found on the internet.
The people at my work built some cool infrastructure so I can essentially run through some prompts and have a custom Windows 10 installation compliant with all of the security policies. Taking time to set up the automation and scripts really helps.
Yeah, I bet. Wish we had a stronger backline for stuff like that... my job is (partially) to make sure the transition between that backline and the end-users in our government. Then, when it fails, I have to assign techies to fix the issues that arise.
I do agree though, a stronger implementation of the scripting we use by our backline would save my little slaves a lot less time.

I think the pattern is that people using Linux for work tend to be developing software of some kind, Windows/Mac for any other type of work, with an overlap for basic browsing and office tasks.
