What I don't understand is why they think it makes them look good. I understand dying hair to cover up greying, and I understand thinking that someone with a hair color different from yours looks better than you. But where does the inspiration for unnatural hair color come from? It can't be cartoons, cartoon hair is too perfect, impossible to replicate IRL. That would leave movies and TV shows, even though characters with stupid hair colors only look passable because they have a team of professional make up technicians. But it would be enough to get the idea that its not a completely stupid idea in their heads...if there was enough shows and movies that did this. I haven't seen a movie or tv show in years, so I couldn't be sure if this was actually the case or not.
