Or just buy a $200 smartphone without data and don't install much on it, if you're like me, you have at least one or two reasons to use modern functions. (music over bluetooth to the car stereo, insurance verification, and remote car lock/unlock/start)
Here's my big boy, the price is ~15$. Nice looking and no bloat camera. I can even listen to music in mp3. Battery life about a week.

A couple years ago I purchased a used Blackberry Classic to emulate the dumb phone with some benefits, namely a basic web browser and group messaging.

Not a dumbphone. You can use wifi, it has an app store, and it comes with Facebook/Google integration. It's just a smartphone with a different OS and a dumbphone like form factor, think of them more like those Japanese smart flip phones.

can make phone calls, text messages, take shitty pictures, has a calculator, an alarm clock, a flashlight, can transfert files through bluetooth, can receive FM radio and play mp3.
i added a 4 GB microSD with mp3 and it does the job.

I've personally never have had a smartphone because I'm a loser who even when he did have probably enough money would rather buy a damn video card or tv or something because I mostly use my phone for phone calls/text. Occasionally having the mp3 player in it is convenient too. I mean also on the plus side the battery lasts days.
