how am i supposed to organize these stupid technological marvels that are all tiny and look identical?
i would like to label general purpose storage ones, password wallets, OS installers, linux installations for specific purposes such as kali, timesink installations (for endless rss consumption and 4chang browsan so i dont it when im working), ones for porn, sōy-berry pi servers, ones for phone storage etc..
back in 'nam i could simply glue verbosely written labels on them floppy drives...
Use a number system, label them 0-20 of whatever you have, then have a piece of paper that identifies what # has what on the card, tape that to the top of the storage cases for beads or medicine weekly container.
Brody Ward
Color tag them with a bit of nail polish.
Aiden Cooper
Put em on a hard drive and throw 'em away
;^)

youre not supposed to have many of them lying around anyway. if you dont use them for a year they loose data.
i hardly use postal mail and i dont give flowers and stuff to women to women, with cute paper notes attached, because im socially inept tard
Eli Brooks
they're not intended for frequent data transfer but for internal storage of portable devices. you have one for every device and only take it out when necessary. if you have bunch of them laying around as if they're usb sticks youre doing it wrong.
Eli Garcia
you wont tell me what the 'intended' use case is. they're small, universal for pretty much every device/port, cheap af on sale, look consistently same like floppies and store good amount of data. having 10 different randomly shaped ugly dongles with only the regular usb port, some usb 3, some usb 2 feels gai.
>How the fuck many of those do you need OP is probably running a CP ring and needs to keep his data in a destructible and portable format.
Jason Mitchell
how short if stored in "normal" conditions unused?
Jace Bell
thing in the pic was exactly what i was looking for. thing i can write labels on. out of every possible key-word, a 'holder' faded from my eastern yuropoor vocubilary for a while.
too bad this single piece of plastic seems to cost 10 ameribucks on amazon but i may find it cheaper somewhere.
if i was clever enough to maintain a cp ring, i'd probably wont be consuming russian import ramen rit now.
thanks for the help and keeping up with my mild arrogance Jow Forums.
use normal SD cards μSD should only be strictly for storage expansion of small devices
Robert Campbell
get those color-backed card sleeves like people use for those trading card games like Magic The Gathering or YugiOh or whatever the fuck its called, and code them by color, each color denoting a capacity, and use the small deck boxes to separate by purpose (multimedia, OS, etc).
Nolan Brooks
Lookup Nintendo DS cartridge organizer there's tons of em.
Usually microsd card come with adapters for full size SD. I keep the adapters and put the microsd cards in them for easier management.
Dylan Bennett
SD cards have such a shitty design. Give me something tactile to work with. Floppy's had a nice feel to them, minidisc always felt nice. You catch my drift? I need my hardware and storage to have a little soul and esthetic to them. I honestly don't understand there isn't a bigger niche market for stuff like that. Give me options!
Anthony Green
sony comes up with the best designs and then fucks it over because of their proprietary nonsense at least the memory stick could have been easier to manipulate.
Oliver Cook
tape them all to a piece of paper label each one and file away
James Rogers
"Scotch Tape" in burgerlandia
Caleb Evans
Do it how the manufacturer did it: laser them.
Alexander Wright
Eh now that I think of it, I still have a couple of 128MB Sony M2 and one or two bigger capacity ones, but nothing to read them with anymore.
Why did they go with this bullshit in SE phones??
Cooper Sanders
It's not said how short, conditions don't really matter that much, frankly you're better off long-term storing your stuff on external HDDs than on sd cards or usb sticks. They just don't last.
Hudson Gutierrez
Fuck that's neat. Having spent my computer childhood swapping floppies, I need this.
