But I am

I live in NZ and it's not any faster than the local Google/ISP cache

That would mean changing the configuration of the eternal WRT54GL

Because I don't trust cloudflare and neither should you.

botnet

Because I trust OpenNIC.

seems pretty botnet

Hrm, why would they be shilling this (((free))) product so much

This right here. They are either selling the data or using it for something else.

But I am

It makes Jow Forums load fucking instantly which is nice because Jow Forums uses cloudflare

Would you seriously rather use your DNS's provided one?

>ipv6

welcome to the botnet

If you aren't paying then you're not the customer.
You're the product.

What's wrong with 8.8.8.8?

They openly admitted to data mining all the traffic coming in. They promise to not save IPs and related data, just the traffic itself, but who knows.

>tfw I run my own caching dns server with root hints with dnssec enabled

>Not hosting your own DNS server.

My own caching nameserver is faster. There's no competing with something running on your own LAN no matter how hard you try to provide a unicast DNS service.

And my own DNS server isn't a botnet that logs and spies on you. I find it very curious and telling that cloudflare's DNS is shilled here on Jow Forums so frequently. You don't hire marketing shills if you're not making a profit. It's a free service which means user data is the product.

Quad9 is tried and true

I am but it's no faster than the one I currently use. Literally within the margin of error.

>letting the people who MITM Jow Forums have even more information on you

Because I run my own DNS servers that cache inside my local network.

I am and for some reason it's causing the "Store" tab on the steam application to time-out and lock-up whenever I look at an item that happens to be on my discovery queue. Haven't noticed other problems. Markedly faster than google's DNS. Hopefully the security improvements are true and valuable.

These are the right answer
Also valid

How can I do it? In a few words.

because it's slow

Attached: a.jpg (289x187, 29K)

I run my own DNS, why would I leak more data than I need to?

Slow piece of shit that steals your data

Pi-hole

Oh look, the daily Cloudflare shill.

Google's DNS is 1 to 2 ms faster for me

This.
/thread

>use 1.1.1.1 DNS
>go use college wi-fi
>everything broken, nothing loads

Any DNS IP is blocked on my college's network.

botnet

Because you touch yourself at night.

Open dns is way better. Why would you trust someone who used to run project honeypot with your dns?

Most routers have an inbuilt dns. Try setting it to your local ip and see if it works. It falls back on the secondary dns obviously.

I’d rather use OpenNIC than Cloudflare’s or my ISP’s DNS.

My ISP's DNS is the fastest for me
(tested with DNSBench)

lol

I'm using the superior 1.0.0.1

My isp has a bought by the german corruption eurofag engine and has placed a jew as a president in this branch.

that's why I am using it.

I have no problem with that.

Your ISP is doing a MITM on you right now! WTF?????????

Attached: 1492315695133.gif (392x400, 1.34M)

I use dns.watch

I used to, but I don't anymore, since when last I checked they didn't support DNS over TLS

>using the secondary fallback as a primary source

Makes sense as its probably less congeated

I can host my own DNS server.

>using the fallback as a primary when the primary literally doesn't work
did you not see the webm?

ur a botnet

Your ISP doesn't need to be your DNS provider to see what you do. They have full visibility over where you go within their network.

Cloudflare is a MITM and you're putting trust in another corporation that promises to not sell your data. This is also the same company whose CEO blocked out websites because it hurt his political feelings.

Fuck off shill, we've had this thread countless times in the past 2 months.

Meet CloudFare, the internet's man-in-the-middle.
