Few weeks ago I buyed Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 from banggood.com for 120€. It is quite big, but very fast and is one of the most sold smartphones in India, so has a lot of support and stable custom roms.
Xiaomi A1 is a bit more expensive than 200$, but very worth the price too!

Galaxy phones with stock botnet rom suck in the in the ass, they become slow as fuck in two years. Lots of custom roms are available, they definitely improve the old galaxy device, but are quite buggy/laggy/crashy sometimes because samsung keeps the hardware proprietary.
S6/S7/Note5 are too expensive for having to deal with random lags and crashes sometimes!
If you are comfortable with a minimal laggy-but-steel-good experience go for a Nexus 4 (30$ ebay) and install LineageOS, Slim or some other minimal AOSP based rom.
