I worked at a CVS distribution center for a short while last year, 12 hour days 5 days a week, one 30 min lunch break and one 15 minute break. Did the tote line, computers would demand a insane pick rate that was impossible with 4 or 5 others on the tote line with you, and you were timed down to the second.
I seriously wanted to fucking kill myself daily until I left, I can't see anyone doing that for longer than a few months.

It wasn't so bad way back when I worked at Amazon. There was one time where management formed a human barricade preventing people from leaving the break room and took down the names of everyone who left late. A lot of people just left early that day and most others filed complaints so they didn't pull that shit again. They liked to remind you that they can see your activity by tracking the items you've scanned and if you had large breaks they'll come and yell at you. One time one of the managers came and yelled at me because I had a large period of inactivity because every single cage was taken. I got in a big argument with him about how it's management's job to make sure that I'm actually able to do the work and he eventually just said something snarky like "Well, I'll just put you down as no excuse then." I went to HR and complained and they handled it, he was super friendly to me ever since.

By supporting this, you're basically saying that since our worker was born into a bad situation, they basically deserve nothing better than wage slavery, while Jeff Bezos takes the private jet out for fun. Explain how this is a good system.
