not owning a cia notebook

I've had a Chromebook since 2010

whatever for?

What could I possibly need a chromebook for?

Lightweight SSH and Gahnoo + Linoox machine

Why would I need a Chromebook for that when I already have an actual laptop instead?

I had a Chromebook. I ended up buying a Thinkpad that was several years older yet magnitudes more useful.

Name one thing a Chromebook can do that a smartphone can't.

What does is he mean by this

I own one but I barely use it. I bought a refurbished Asus for about £90 and I keep it in my backpack so I always have a computer on me. Chrome OS has a lot of potential but it's not there yet for most people. I couldn't possibly do without Windows right now.

Netbook with more botnet
No. We all learned our lesson back then.

Much bigger screen and physical keyboard. I wouldn't want to do some things on my phone even though it's perfectly capable of doing it.

Chromebooks are only for SSHing into another computer.

I've seen someone put Winblows 10 on a chromebook. The CPU usage idles at 100%.

No shit, because they're not made to run Windows, they're made to run Chrome OS. Chromebooks do what they do very well, the only problem is that what they do is very limited right now. In time they will be viable options, we're just not there yet.

Chromebot*

Is installing a Linux distro harder on Chromebooks than on Windows laptops? Because I'd love to get a Acer Swift 1 for my next Linux portable workstation, but if there is any Chromebook I should look into, I'd gladly do it.

Installed chromiumos on my old laptop from 2005 because my little sister is about that age where she needs a laptop for school, surprised how well it runs

>not enabling dev mode and turning it into a cheap subsidized linux laptop

>buying something to do what I already can on another machine but slower

>current year
>not buying a thing, mindlessly
