I have a question about certain USB having trouble detecting certain devices. Laptop A can detect gamepad A and laptop B can detect gamepad B, but not vice versa. This was tested on Linux and Windows for both laptops.

Also I tried plugging in a phone into 2 different computers with one not detecting it and the other saying Base System Device has no drivers. Both have the necessary driver. I tried it on a 3rd computer, but instead of plugging it into a USB on the motherboard, I plugged it into a USB hub connected through PCIe and it worked flawlessly. What's causing these computers to work differently with USB devices?

Will this CPU work with this motherboard and will I be able to use all 8 of the RAM slots? The CPU says it only supports 4 channels of DDR3 RAM.

for clarity, my concern is that the CPU says it supports 4 channels of DDR3 memory. Does that mean that it only supports 4 memory modules at one time and putting it in this motherboard would be basically nuking the additional 4 slots?

Ok, so I'm experiencing heavy stuttering during encounters in WoW. 1060 6gb is not the culprit. My i5-4440 is a bit slow and gets to the low 90c's but load is fine and I'm fairly sure it isn't the root of my issues.

My Seagate 1tb ST1000DM003 however, is consistently reaching 100% disk usage and stalling. Can a HDD bottleneck gaming this hard? Would changing boot drive to a new SSD fix this?

If you're hitting 100% load on something, that's the bottleneck. My guess is because something is fucked up though, not just because the drive is slow. See what else is running, and fix that. See what's using the disk.

What is using your HDD? open task manager.
Are you using windows 7 or 10?

For comparison, on the stock heatsink and paste a I5-4440 should never go beyond 60°C, even when i render with my I5-4460 with stock HSF it never goes beyond 70 in a room at 35°C.

I just got some DDR4 Corsair Vengence 3000MHz

On the side of the ram it says 3000MHz at 1.35V

It isnt stable at those settings. Instead ive found it stable at around 2666MHz @1.35V

Is this normal or should I return the sticks? Shouldnt it be able to achieve what it says it does?

Also is it wise to push voltages higher than 1.35V to try and get 3000MHz stable?

1.5V is ok for high end DDR4, anything beyond that is pushing it.

Updated my gpu drivers the other day, now i got two processes named amddvr.exe and amdow.exe in task manager despite the fact that i haven't installed relive along with it (wasn't installed before either). How to fix?

Nvm apparently disabling startdvr in the task scheduler is sufficient to prevent it from running at startup, going to test it stat

Welp that didn't work, it keeps starting the processes even after relog and when i try closing them they immediately restart themselves again

Looks like i'll have to sweep over it with DDU and chose minimal driver setup instead, or maybe i'll do a complete rollback aswell

Why do professional streamers' livestream look so fluid when they're only streaming at 60fps? It looks like they are streaming 144fps because of how fluid it is.

When I record my video games (all kinds of games, like FPS, third person, etc) it looks like 60fps even though I have like 200FPS in-game.

How do they do it? I have tried Nvida shadowplay, Xsplit, OBS, radeon relive but all of my recordings look like stuttery mess compared to all the pro streamers.

Are they recording at like 900FPS and then replaying it at 60FPS and add motion blur like Kliksphilip does? Do they use external capture cards that have some onboard fuckery to make their 60fps recordings look like 144Hz?

yes, the outer two can be soldered straight to the test points which are already exposed, so that's easy
the centre two have connections on both sides of the broken trace, so unless you can verify they're still connected (such as with a continuity tester), those will need to be bridged back together as well
the wires need to be in the same position as before, obviously (the centre two are connected together on the board, so they can be switched, though there's no reason to do so)

and yes, you can ignore those now-unconnected traces, they only served to help attach the connector to the board, and are now meaningless unless you wish to try to reattach the connector as it was before (harder, and considering you're asking for a relatively simple task, i wouldn't suggest it)
