We already have another thread about this fag, try using your eyes next time

a thread died for this

Use a different file manager lol

I read this article today, I was really pissed. Then I remembered the beauty of Linux is not being tied down by one of anything. I use PCManFM anyway, Nautilus is bloated and the name spelling is too difficult to search up in a launch panel.

sudo apt-get install caja

/thread

>you can't change the file manager on windows or macOS

:')

Brainlets/idiots are the cause of developers dumbing down your operating systems.

Ya got me, I forgot Total Commander and all that. But try changing your desktop enviroment or window manager in macOS or Windows. It's a complete mess.

Why would you want to change from based Aqua? There's a reason every Linux distro on the planet tries to look exactly like it.

In this particular case developers are the brainlets/idiots. Joe grandma likes this feature and autism_mcneckbeard doesn't care since he uses the terminal, or a better DE.

It's dumb that they're removing it, but how often do you need to run a binary without any arguments and you don't have a .desktop file for it?

I've never ran a binary from the file explorer anyway. Throw it in the path and just terminal it.

GNOME is all about removing features. One day you won't have any menus or close buttons. Enjoy possibly the worst current DE. Unity was better.

this

gnome 2.32 was the pinacle of gnome, truly sad

>no desktop icons
>no executables
What's next? No changing the background?

Another thread? You seems really butthurt about this user.

I'd suspect everything happening to Linux over the last 10 years to be sabotage if I didn't know that devs are just stupid.

these people are insane

Remember when they removed maximize and minimize window buttons.

I don't know about you, but I rarely use Linux directly, implementing a desktop environment directly on it would be madness in my eyes. I do however really enjoy cinnamon on top of the x server on top of the GNU coreutils

Good, Based GNOME

>not even .desktop files are allowed
Kek this is pathetic
Android is better for desktop use than fucking Gnome at this point
Just don't use gnome

>launching apps from a gui
do people really do this?

>needing to type in a program's name to open it

I'm starting to believe they're controlled opposition.
It's like they want me to use KDE

Gnome is the Apple of Linux.

>writes gui
>too normie to invent anything useful
>start to remove features instead
>eventually removes all the reasons to even use the gui in the first place
>feel more hipster

Meanwhile, xfce continues to be great.

more like xfeces

Better than KuckDE

who gives a fuck

Ignore KDEfag threads. Every single time the Gnome project does or even suggests something they make a glorified /v/ thread about how Gnome is finished in an attempt to get people to switch or even acknowledge their windows clone of a DE.

cinnamon, Xfce and MATE are currently the best desktop environments
>GNOME
some features removed every 2 or 3 releases
>KDE
messy and glitchy
>lxqt
unfinished
>lxde
good but dead
>enlightenment
extremely ugly and no good themes available
>lumina
terrible but it's still pretty young

sudo apt-get install dolphin
