Why would I be excited about this?
It's the same phone as all the others, the only thing I see on it is "glass on the back" meaning it shatters on every angle and a notch validating the iPhone X.
Why would you even need a notch in the first place, when 16:9 is already too wide for everything but youtube videos?
That said if you watch youtube videos on your phone get a desktop.

Be prepared for the 5X bootloop, mine bootlooped after 2 years of use recently, replaced it with a Mi Mix 2.

How long does your battery even last these days?
Mine got so awful, I tried to find a replacement, and got chink'd.
Ended up swapping back to the old battery since it was somehow lasting longer than the replacement.

Still on the original battery, I get about four hours of YouTube from full charge. If I use the phone normally I just need to charge it in the evening but working in a tech job means I just leave it plugged in all day anyway.

No. I have the 5t too, and I know oneplus' game. They'll release the 6t, or something similar, in about 5 months from now, and that will be the more valuable investment.

The 5 and 5r run just as fast as the 6, the software gets the same updates, the screen is the same resolution, and they're taking a bite out of the screen anyway for the front camera. Still no wireless charging, but there's a glass back, so the repairability is decreased, and the fragility is increased. The phone thrives on its shiny back, which you'll cover with a gaudy case anyway. The fingerprint sensor is worse due to its shape, and the processor is only a minor upgrade in performance.

Huawei did this phone way better with the honor 10.
