I average around 7hrs of SOT on my s7 edge running a custom rom and root. I block most wakelocks and alarms in amplify and disable wifi scanning etc. I use messaging apps like signal, telegram and whatsapp and also newpipe and Spotify for media. I also use a couple of social media apps. Screenshot was taken with 15% of batter left.

any dicknigger could get 20 hours SOT if they turn the screen to the minimum and make the blackground black
Amplify is a meme btw. it breaks normal Android functionality to save a marginal amount of power. have fun missing your alarm because amplify chose to save power instead of waking up the device

Blackberry Keyone Auto brightness, no "battery saver" apps, and several background apps all listening for notifications. I usually charge every other day.
S8, gets about 8-10 hours SoT usually. It goes pretty fast down to 30%, but the last 30 seems to last forever. It took a good bit of tweaking without root and a new kernel, so it doesn't hold a candle to my rooted G5+ and the 16 hours SoT that thing gets with Destroyer kernel.
You can get decent SoT on almost any phone if you actually pay attention to what's running in the background, and disable or uninstall anything you're not using. You'd be surprised how much battery a widget you stopped using but didn't uninstall will drain just sitting there running its service.
My shit lasts for like two days and charges ridiculously fast. Its a moto g5 plus and its not faster than my galaxy s4 but damn the battery is just the shit.
