Could someone give me some pointers toward a nice diver watch below $500? Im a wristlet so if its not the biggest kind then it will be a bonus

The smaller skx versions

Attached: $_1.jpg (400x377, 43K)

Any other options than Seiko?

isn't that 45 mm?
the skx013 is a safe bet

Can you post your wrist size?

Diver watches are ugly as fuck I do not understand the obsession.

Have you guys imported from Japan without paying import tax? Can you just get the eBay seller to mark it as £39 or lower and mark as a gift? I’m in uk.

got the GW-M5610-1ER arriving tomorrow, what's the alarm on it like, does it vibrate?

Attached: 71SyuFri-xL._UY879_.jpg (659x879, 84K)

>small, cheap, diver
Not really

Errr I think like between 5 and 6 inches

Yeah, I get it and I keep mine on the original as well. I just like the assurance that I if mine breaks I can just put it on a nato until I find a replacement.

WAY/WT/?

Attached: LRM_EXPORT_20180518_154800.jpg (1350x1350, 924K)

Oh shit, me too.
I've heard the alarm is mediocre though.

aaaaaaa, that's one of the main reasons I rebought it

I'm curious. How much have these changed in 30 years? It's just a calculator isn't it?

Attached: 1519049927820.jpg (288x457, 34K)

Yes, like it has a little computer chip that just do stopwatch, time, and some other things. Basically the same as a calculator.

the raspberry pi also has a smal lcomputer chip, does this make it a calculator?

But a calculator is way more complicated. My point is, or question, is what do this watch really bring to the table other than stop watch and a few other similar things? Did it change a lot in the last 30 years or is it just the same watch basically? Why do so many love these watches?

oh for me
>durable
>alarms
>stopwatch
>timer
>solar powered
>radio controlled so time is always accurate and self updates
that's why I like it

It does not vibrate.

Why can't we get nice quartz watches with solar that tick at 6tps?

man I really wish they would make the solar squares in a more minimal design

Attached: mihara.jpg (900x1200, 85K)

I'm going to buy one of these next for my collection. Which would /wt/ pick?

Attached: next.jpg (1177x989, 110K)

Here it is.

The Patek, its less nigger tier than the AP.

which one do you like more

Fill an F-91w with olive oil and you have an infinite depth rated diver.

Some of the new G-Shocks have bluetooth and can indicate phone notifications, sync on internet time, get environmental data from phone sensors, etc.

Are you a spy?

>glossy
puke.jpg

I like them both for different reasons. I'd probably pick the black dial RO rather than the blue in the pic.

I hate the dial on the Patek
Get the AP with matching date window.

Attached: ap.jpg (962x1146, 323K)

switch bezel and strap with normal ones, you fag

I do know what you mean. The AP dial is slightly better but the Nautilus has the better bracelet. Good point about the matching date color.

reminder that watches are for faggots

I was looking at G shocks and realised that this stainless cased digital watch can be had for £70.
Any reason why I shouldn’t get this over a g shock? I’m not actually interested in the shock protection but rather the water resistance and digital features.

No thanks, I don't buy joke watches.

yeah go ahead, then buy a g-shock too

>skx013 is a safe bet
Could you tell me what I should pay for this watch? I think I'll go for it, but I dont know where to buy it yet and whats a good price for it

>my negro

I know analogue Nixon’s are dog shit but I can’t really see any issues with buying one of their digital models. I feel like 7p is okay for a steel cased digital. How much are the metal g shocks?

Attached: 08udQKG.png (490x524, 297K)

Think I’ve found my next watch.
Just need to find a seller which will help me avoid the import fees....

PLASTIC BUTTONS PLASTIC BUTTONS
NIXON NIXON

There really aren't very many metal g-shocks, every material and shape on a g-shock is engineered to be a perfect little machine that runs forever and is unbreakable.
Nixons are much more about aesthetic.

Just buy whatever you like I guess, but you aren't going to convince anyone a nixon digi is better than a g-shock. I like both myself, for different reasons.

Attached: GA-835A-1A_limited_matte.jpg (500x500, 22K)

About £280 shipped, my boy.

This colourway is available in the uk for £200 but I’m a picky mother fucker.

Attached: image.jpg (1536x1620, 1.88M)

Yea looking more at it I find the full dot matrix screen a bit tacky. Steel digital are just so rare.

My old g shock had plastic buttons...

My whole life has been a lie.
Thank you user.

Stop being a plastic pleb and cop this:
ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Seiko-digital-LC-0138-5030/253605947001

Pulsar make pic related if you want a steel cased digital. You can get them in Seiko outlets too so you could try it on first.

Attached: P5A015X1-l.png (380x570, 218K)

How wide is that thing?

I had mine on leather but I put it back on the bracelet for summer so I don't sweat it to death.

Attached: IMG_20170304_105200_724.jpg (2988x2988, 2.03M)

I prefer the bishop version.

Attached: Seiko-Giugiaro-30th-anniversary-SCED0031.jpg (435x640, 74K)

This looks way worse than the Nixon.

44mm I think.
It's probably a far better watch though.

How is it better?
Not flaming just wondering how digital 2atches are considered better than others when they have the same functions and accuracy. Surely aesthetics and quality are all that’s left?

I expect the construction to be better on the Pulsar and the QC is probably better in general than some fashion watch shit.

MAN ON THE PHUCKING MOOOOON!!!!

Do micro gas tubes need charging with light or are they just constantly glowing?

would consider if it was 3$ at a garage sale

Nixon actually started in the late nineties, and they developed their own designs. It's not that "legit" but it is a better company than the thousands who just slap their logo on parts mass distributed by alibaba.

Constantly glowing, not as bright as most lume though.

Attached: IMG_20160807_171240.jpg (2990x1578, 775K)

Look it up yourself. It's a pretty interesting topic that if you expand on leads to seeing some cool dials that were effected by radiation of old lume paint.
A short answer is always glowing.

constantly glowing

Attached: 20180301_221326.jpg (4032x3024, 2.59M)

it doesn't vibrate
it's not as loud as the F91W one, but still loud enough to wake you up

Same thing I wear every day.

Attached: IMG_20180518_172228.jpg (1840x3264, 1.38M)

Nice

>WAY/WT/?
What does this mean?

It means Where Is Your Walrus Today

When are you wanking today.

All replies are informing the original post of their preset time they will be having a wank.

I only have a dog. This is a silly question, nobody can own a walrus. I refuse to believe that this is a serious question, so I will just deem it a troll question from now on.

What's a nice "military" watch for $200

Where are your whitey tighteys

an actual one

forgot pic

Attached: marathon_navigator.jpg (900x1600, 259K)

>radiation symbol
>H3
Is this supposed to mean something?

It uses radioactive tritium (H3) so that the hands and indices are always glowing.

Attached: 20170717_002627-1807x1935.jpg (1807x1935, 535K)

the lume is very bright gives off some radiation

Attached: MARATHON_NAVIGATOR_DIAL102-1024x661.jpg (1024x661, 258K)

>gives off some radiation
no (unless you mean the light, which, sure, is technically "radiation"). The radiation excites the luminescent material inside the tube and makes it glow. No (ionizing) radiation escapes the tube, much less the case.

>military
>not digital

Yoo name of watch

in file name

Yooo I Google but nothing
Wat do

I didn't post the picture just guessed the filename would be watch name

pretty sure it's this one amazon.com/dp/B004U3WTF2/ref=twister_B0719W39Y6

with a third party nato strap

>it was actually issued to multiple military groups
yes most soldiers just buy g-shocks though

ebay 'marathon navigator'
there are a few different colors, for usmc, army, and israelis
