Python for the absolute beginner, is what you need i believe.
On every chapter of this book you learn things that helps you to write a game which is related to the content of that chapter.
but i don't recommend it as your only source for learning python.
forr example. it just tell you some basic consepts of functional programming in python, with some very easy examples, then it shows you how to make a tic-tac-toe game, which comparing to it's previous examples, is very overwhelming and intimidating.

It is a puzzle game where you write assembly to solve problems.
I don't know how good it is to actually teach you assembly, but it is a custom syntax, so I guess you do learn it.
