Not other than wasting a bunch of time, no

every write reduces the integrity of your data

You seriously think SSDs can be defragged in the first place? Please stab your abdomen with a fork. Then, consider this-
First; yes, the manner in which your data on the HDD is arranged/aligned is important. You want things close and tidy, not sparse and far apart.
Second; YOU NEVER. EVER. FUCKING. DEFRAG. AN SSD. YOU DIPSHIT. THAT'S NOT HOW THEY WORK.
i hate you

Being this triggered.

sorry

This minus the anger.

no

i do it daily

hdd is 6yo, still going strong

Why would you do that daily? Modern window does it automatically in the background when needed.
Doing "manual" defrags daily is just a waste of time.

He explicitly said he was being specific to hard drives, kys

defragging ssds is snakeoil, mechanical harddrives need to be defragged so that large files are read sequentially as mechanical drives do not do concurrent reads well, however ssds have no such requirement and random access times are almost as fast as sequential read times so it doesn't matter how many parts the file is split up into on a ssd
that said, most recent filesystems and operating systems go to great care to not fragment files, if you're on something recent you shouldn't need to defrag frequently if at all

I can almost smell the grease, food crumbs and old cum stains in your room

don't use defraggler, faggot

be nice to her

Why are you so rude? Maybe try not acting like a barbarian?

you really need to fap baka desu senpai

it can significantly reduce performance for files that need to be overwritten due to patching or whatever

defragging increasing performance is only rarely true, it's more something to do twice a year of a heavy write traffic drive

Random angry humor died out like 2 years ago

>does defragging your harddrives daily have any ill effects?
No, but it's a waste of time.

I mean....angry guy aint wrong

No, but running winblowz does.

I heard if you do every day it can make it run slower but I don't know if its even true
