generally the best brands are european and dont have large marketing budgets

I have some Dyson ball vacuum, but I have been thinking of trying one of the old Electrolux vacuums for the hell of it. Or grabbing one of those Kirby vacuums that had a transmission in them.

I pull out the regular Vacuum and Carpet cleaner once every 6 months. This thing runs for 1 hour a day while I am at work.
